Bought this to replace an old 10000 BTU non-inverter unit that finally died on us just as the summer heat is ramping up and so far I've been very impressed. It is a bit larger than the old unit but as this is 12000 BTU and an inverter unit I suppose that's to be expected but this did result in having to also buy a support bracket.
Even though this is a larger unit BTU wise and my electrical company has raised prices for electricity this year I have not seen any jump in my bill compared to last year so I do think this unit does save on electric bills and overall power usage.
It is very quiet compared to my old unit and has a decent range of motion in the vent for air direction. It's doesn't have the same air pushing capabilities as my old unit - I can't stand across the room and feel the wind, however it does a great job over all at cooling down the room once it gets going. This 12000 BTU unit is covering our living room, kitchen and dinning room with no problems. If they made these inverter units in 5-6000 BTU options I would buy them for our bedrooms as well. Very impressed overall.

Huge 2 car garage. I insulated the garage door with a Styrofoam door kit The 14000 btu would have been a little better, but 72 degrees near the floor 84 degrees at the top of the garage door. 92 degrees at hottest part of the ceiling the edge where the roof sloops. No insulation in the attic above the garage. I will insulate where the roof meets the attic floor. Best Average temperature 78 degrees when it is 90 degrees outside

I bought this to replace a 12 year old AC in my living room. It looks great and I can't get over how much quieter it is! I haven't really put it through it's paces yet, but so far so great. My only complaints are minor ones: I had to manually set the wi fi up through ThinQ and the instructions were a bit confusing and there was a strong "new plastic" smell emitted when the fan was on that took a few days to dissipate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ac is the best window ones we have ever had quite and our electric bill decreased Stanley, the only issue we have found is the battery’s for the remote drain quickly I’m on my third set and not using the ac in this weather and the batteries still are useless after a week so I will contact lg and see if they will replace it,,

I bought this AC approximately two years ago. The unit is great, just had one problem, there was a short in the plug so I had to purchase another cord that I replaced easily. Other then that the unit works great.
