12,000 BTU DUAL Inverter Smart Wi-Fi Window AC

LW1222IVSM We've never had an LG AC unit before and boy were we missing out!
This unit is so, so, quiet my husband doesn't mind leaving in on while we watch TV or when people are chatting in the living room.
I happen to love the Smart features to adjust with my phone.
The beast is heavy! but it was worth everything to install it, permanently, in our LR window. Again- the unit is so quiet you don't even know its on!
My husband and I installed it ourselves, we're a bit handy, though I am really happy there was a side roof inches below the window we used! We used a brace to be sure it was secure.
The controls- super easy and I don't know that I've ever needed the high fan setting. The filter is easy to get to when it needs to be cleaned and with the Smart app is set up it also sends me a text message telling me the filter needs to be cleaned! It has options for fan, cool, sleep, dry(dehumidifier), and the smart app monitors the energy usage as well as having a 'Smart Diagnosis' feature that I've never had to use.
All in all- we are delighted with our purchase and have already decided to upgrade our other AC units to LGs when the time comes. Might be sooner than we think ;-)

I did some research and decided to pay the little extra money for this unit. I am so glad I did. It blows freezing cold air and has many great features. I already noticed a difference in my month to month electric bill. This replaced a 5 year old unit of the same size.

Cool And Quiet

Amazingly cool and quiet for it's btus. It's cooling a room @650 Sq ft. The other reviews stating "whisper cool" are correct. I found that at initial startup, or when changing fan speeds, there is what others called a "whirling sound" This dissipates after a minute or so, and this "whirling sound" would be 100% acceptable if that was how loud it was: a very quiet, and dependable unit. Won't go back from LG ac's ever. Couldn't have asked for me.
