I absolutely love this TV. The picture is beautiful - the color is true, the brightness is perfect (even in my very bright room during the day), and you can see the picture from any angle. The sound is great as well. We will probably invest in a system at some point, but for now, the sound is perfect (and I like that I can adjust it for the application I am using, eg, when I want to listen to Spotify).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I’m quite happy with the product… However, I was somewhat disappointed when the TV arrived that it was geared on the side of streaming rather than for cable service. The instructions need to be improved for the conversion from streaming to cable. One of the things that impressed me was use my DVR with the new TV that has capability of playing back at more than two times normal speed. My old TV would display choppy video at that fast speed whereas the new TV (a faster processor?) was able to handle this two times playback much smoother and clearer which was a pleasant surprise that I didn’t know about this asset until I got the TV installed at home.

Very pleased with this tv overall, but very irritated by the excessive buffering after a few hours of streaming. I have to unplug the tv for 1-2 hours to let it reset.

Seems to be an overall great tv. I haven't had all that much time with it yet but I have identified two items. #1 The sound cuts out for certain commercials when connected to the Xfinity 4k box. The opinion seems to be a "handshake" issue between the devices. I saw the last update had something about the handshake in it so it could be fixed now. Will have to make sure the update is installed and test it out. Other Item is a nice to have item. The home screen with all the apps is in my opinion way to bright. Is there a way to dim it down? I only noticed it because it left a ghost image on the screen the last time I used it. I ran the mouse around the screen and it seemed to clear in its trail. Switched back to video and it seemed fine. Maybe it was just burned into my eyes since it was so bright? I have the sets brightness for normal viewing set to about 70-75 % so that's the level I am used to.

Hello, Eldon! We’re glad to hear your LG TV is already impressing you with its overall performance. Your notes about the sound cutting out with certain commercials and the brightness of the home screen are truly appreciated—insight like this helps highlight what you’re experiencing in real‑world use. It’s great that you’re planning to check for the latest update, and your observation about the home screen brightness is helpful feedback as well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent screen contast and color. The remote control is tricky to learn how to use. I suggest getting an expert (your grandson?) to show you how to use it. Written explanations did not work for me. I am greadually learning how. Also the smartphone controller is helpful but only after your grandson shows you how to use it as well. This is actually a computer with TV attached. But just about all TV's to day are like that. I did chose the LG because it has superior lifetime and will last longer. Cheaper TV's might look almost as good but evental failure modes might force you to buy another. The so-called help connection takes you to an outsice provider asking you for your credit card number. In the long run you are better off just buying the instalation service from the store if it includes setting up and teaching you how to use it.

Hello, Rhine! Really appreciate you sharing this! — sounds like your LG TV is delivering the kind of picture quality that keeps you hooked, even if the remote is putting you through a bit of “tech training.” We’ll make sure your note about the tricky controls and that unhelpful support link gets passed along to our product team. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely satisfied with the picture quality of the C5. The 4K upscaling of our Blu-Ray collection is exceptional. Size was a limitation and the newer 2026 model did not offer much of an upgrade over the 2025 model. An additional positive is I have been able to take advantage of the Auracast feature for consumers who are hard of hearing and have compatible hearing aids. I'm also excited about the future WebOS updates that come with this purchase. The only minor negative is there are no inputs for legacy AV components. Fortunately, my old VCR/DVD combo has an HDMI output. Very happy to add a second LG OLED TV to my home.
