I bought this window unit in mid-August in the middle off the hottest summer south Louisiana has ever experienced My 5 ton central unit (thermostat set on 78) was running almost non-stop trying to keep the house cool After this unit was installed in the den (400 sf), the central unit began cutting on and off, and cooling the house to the selected temperature setting. This change in its operation was reflected in a decreased electric bill within a month of installation off the window unit It is also super quiet. Does not interfere with the TV sound, and would be an ideal unit for a bedroom because of the quietness of the unit. The comfort factor cannot be measured in $$ savings, but it is totally worth the initial cost, IMO
Purchased this unit after a lot of research. It runs much quieter than our last a/c. As it’s in our bedroom window, this is great!

Very quiet love it

Very quiet, I liked it so much I could not wait to buy another for my living room. Also is very good on energy. The only complaint is that the dark control panel makes it hard to see the settings, so mainly I use the remote or the app.

I bought this a month ago and regret the purchase. It is a very difficult and daunting prospect to install in a double hung vinyl window with vinyl siding on the exterior of house due to the unit's extensive depth and weight. Installation had to be aborted once it was determined it would damage the window frame, etc. Extremely disappointed and discouraged due to limitations of this product installation into vinyl windows without doing damage to infrastructure of home.

Poor Quality Control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The box did not include the screws or brackets needed to install the unit. A call to LG reported that those parts would be sent within 7-10 days which was not acceptable. We returned the unit and when the missing parts were received, we also took them back to the store to complete the package.

The Clean Filter light won't turn off

The "Clean Filter" light went on about three weeks after I started using my AC. I vaccumed the filter and put it back in, but the light won't go away, and there's no Reset button like my old AC had.
