I recently was River Rafting down the Schroon River in the Adirondacks and with my clumsiness; I had knocked my JBL Flip 5 into the water 🫠 I looked up and down the river and after TWENTY to THIRTY minutes of being submerged, I found it… AND IT WORKED!!! Not only did I drop it that time, I also knocked it in another two times 🥴 IT STILL IS ROCKING 🎸💕 Sound was not affected at all!!! After spending nearly an hour submerged in water, Hands down would Highly Recommend this Speaker ☺️

Awesome personalized graphics

I bought a personalized Charge 5 and am impressed with how it turned out. The graphics are sharp and clear, with no imperfections. It sounds just as good as my other Charge 5 speakers, of which I have three, for a surround sound. Together they sound like a concert, which is an awesome way to hear them. It connects easily to my IPhone and party mode with no issues. The battery lasts for 20 hours and charges in about 4 hours. I am impressed with it and use it about everyday listening to my music mixes. I am truly love the JBL quality and workmanship. I am glad to have purchased this speaker, and hope to get a lot of use out if it.

Speaker great, custom image durability, horrible.

I got a charge 5 with a custom image on it. I always love JBL speakers and no, I would highly recommend the charge 5 in general, however the custom design is wearing away very quickly and I'm very disappointed. I've only had it for a week or so and already it looks pretty trashed. I would understand if this was a speaker that was meant to stay in the home, but as a speaker that is meant to be portable, it seems like a major design flaw to offer a customization isn't durable. If you're planning on just keeping your speaker on the shelf in your house, you're probably fine to get a custom image, otherwise I would skip it.

Battery doesn’t last

The speaker doesn’t hold the charge. After 3 hours of playing it is completely dead. I’ve charged it all the way up with medium or lower sound level and same thing.

We're here to help with your JBL Charge 5. means that the battery is losing its capacity. Please try this experiment: Charge the battery to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, this likely means that the battery is losing its capacity. Please reach out to our customer support so we can assist with your warranty.
