Greatest bluetooth speaker

Had this one for over 5 years that I won at an arcade. Only recently has it had issues, and it’s just that it can no longer keep a worthy charge time. The absolute greatest bluetooth speaker I ever had. Been through water and mud, thrown and beaten around… still sounds perfect clarity and bass wise.

Party mode unreliable!!

I have owned several JBL, Harmon-Kardon products in the past. Purchased 2 Charge speakers excited to pair them together Party mode. Works 1 out of 15 times, super annoying as I am trying to run a Cardio class. Sought help from JBL and many YouTube vids. Very disappointed!!

Turns on sounds great no sync it won't work

So connecting it is easy but recently when I connect it to my computer it won't let me hit the sync button so I can't Use it the way I want to

Thanks for your feedback. If you are referring to the PartyBoost feature. Please know that the PartyBoost is not available when your JBL Charge 5 is connected to a computer via Bluetooth. This is a technical limitation. When connected to a computer, the computer acts as the primary device. Therefore, your JBL Charge 5 does not have control of re-transmitting the Bluetooth signal to other JBL speakers. If you need further assistance, you may contact us.

Charge 5 has NO 1/8" audio jack

I bought this JBL Charge 5 to use in an audio setup, but was very disappointed to realize that it has no 1/8" audio jack, and that this seems to have changed from the JBL Charge 4 and all the previous models, which did have one. I brought this without checking first, since my friend's older JBL Charge had an audio jack.
This meant I could not use it for my project at all.
I don't know why they removed the audio jack – it's not like they are short on space. It's a portable speaker. I should be able to plug my audio into it. Disappointed.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, our JBL Charge 5 doesn't have an audio input. You may want to consider our JBL Charge 6, as it can connect to a laptop via Bluetooth or USB-C connection for lossless audio. Please make sure to press and hold the play button before plugging the USB-C cable into your speaker. You will hear an audible confirmation. If you prefer a 3.5mm aux connection, you may check our JBL Charge 4. If you need more help, please contact our customer support.
