Poor Battery Run Time

I bought the Charge 5 two months ago. Good sound when it works. I do not understand JBL’s claim on 20-hour battery life! They must have forgot the decimal point. More like 2.0 to 3.0 hour battery life. Not happy. I like to party much longer with music.

Thanks for your feedback. Please know that the published up-to-date playtime is the maximum battery life you will get when listening at background levels. As you turn up the volume, the playtime will be reduced, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. The same goes for source material. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. Garbage product all around

Purchased thus last year. Pile of crap will disconnect from my device because it loses charge. My Android, not charging, lasts longer than this. Even when it's charging. Here I thought JBL was great. Well, they used to be years ago. Their earbuds I already smashed a few months ago, because they were/are garbage, and don't fit well.

If the speaker doesn't meet the advertised playtime hours, even at low to mid-volume levels, there could be a problem with the battery of the unit. I love this! Nice & loud. The bass is amazing. Not too big, not too small. Just right to take to the beach or out somewhere. I love that I was able to personalize it with my own pic.

Great sounding speaker.

My speaker is a custom design and it looks awesome. The design is awesome and looks just like the design I made for it. It isn't too hard to do a design as the web page guides you through the process. The sound is sharp and crisp with booming bass. It works like my other speakers, with no drops in sound quality during playback. This speaker is great for everyday listening or for throwing a party, as it connects to other speakers with party boost for a truly amazing stereo sound. The only con I have found is the status light when the battery is about to die isn't too bright as it is a red colored light to alert you to charge it up. The charging light is blue and can be seen while it's charging. Other than that it is an awesome speaker.

JBL Flip 5 Not compatible to Macbook

JBL Flip 5 bluetooth pairs to my Macbook Air running Sequoia but there is no sound.

We're here to help with your JBL Flip 5. Please check if the feedback tone is audible when turning the speaker on and off. If the feedback tone is not audible, proceed to performing a factory reset by pressing and holding the volume up (+) and play buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until the unit turns off. If the feedback tone is audible, please try connecting to a different source to see if it fixes the problem. Sometimes a Bluetooth connection can become corrupt. Please try to forget/unpair the speaker on your device and do a manual pairing by pressing the Bluetooth button on your JBL Flip 5. On your source device, tap on "JBL Flip 5" to connect. If the issue is still not resolved, the last thing to try is a reset. If the issue persists, please contact our customer support.
