I bought the JBL Charge 5 for a Christmas present. I bought this after owning a smaller unit last year and so impressed by the sound quality for such a small unit. The battery lasts a long time between charges and connects via bluetooth very reliably on everything I use it on, laptops, phones, etc. These are dependable devices. I recommend these to anyone who wants a remote speaker. So, nice to have wherever I go, I can turn on and listen to music from my phone while working in the basement, workshop or outside gardening.

Great Personalization!

I got a personalized Charge 5 as Christmas present, and I am highly satified with the turnout of the personalization on the back! It looks fantastic!
The one thing is that the paint seems to have a certain texture throughout the speaker, and it feels sort of sticky. So too, the startup sounds are very quiet and the buttons on the speaker are difficult to know you've pressed them.

Got it home and checked the tech specs. MONO AUDIO with a 60hz floor. Tried using it: 10+sec boot time and every button press plays an obnoxious noise. Required to provide location data to change EQ. "Power bank" via USB A only.

I already had heard the Charge 5 sounds before so I knew the sound quality would be amazing. I'm so glad I went with a custom Charge 5. The picture of my wife and I will forever be a unforgettable beautiful memory. Thank you JBL for that memory. The picture quality is surreal.

Sounds Great, but takes a long time to receive.

If you're wanting this for a special occasion, make sure you order way ahead of time. It was ordered two and half weeks before my birthday and it didn't show up until 5 days after my birthday. But other than that, it looks great and sounds great.
