Get it! Worth every penny!

I bought a pair of these about a month ago and I am over the moon with them! Paired in Party Mode they function in stereo and they sound phenomenal! I was blown away at how much volume, clarity, and bass these produce. I am a musician and an audiophile so I expect a lot and I was not disappointed! The battery life is excellent, and they charge back up very quickly. Best investment ever. I highly recommend these.

I bought a pair of these a month ago and I am over the moon with them. I pair them in Party Mode and then they play in stereo. They are LOUD, have awesome clarity, and amazing bass! They sound great with all styles of music. The battery life is phenomenal and they charge back up really quickly. I am a musician and an audiophile so I expect a lot and I was not disappointed! They’re extremely rugged and well built. JBL has a winner here, I highly recommend these!

Having been the speaker engineer for Soundstream, PPI, and a few other brands, I know speakers. A colleague friend bought one of these to listen to on the jobsite. I was surprised at how good it sounded. For the compact size of this unit, the bass is impressive. The dual radiators do their job well. I ordered a custom one with my company logo on it. Lovin' it!

Cool little JBL 5

I personalized mine, I had a red white and blue speaker made. It took 2-3 weeks or so to receive it. I bought it for my beach trip but I also bought it because I have a small collection of speakers.
The JBL is small , yet it has such a strong bass. It’s loud for its size.
I have an: Altec Lansing life jacket speaker, it’s small , water proof and sounds pretty good and holds a decent charge. 7/10
I have a : House of Marley get together speaker. This is our main house speaker. Sounds great, looks nice, bluetooth. But the charge does not hold up as well. Still probably my favorite home speaker. 9/10
I have a: JBL clip 3. Fairly decent sound quality for a tiny travel speaker. But, the speaker started to fall apart within a month of having it 4/10
I have a : Ion total PA max (karaoke speaker), this is hands down my favorite speaker, very very loud, bluetooth, FM/AM radio, aux port for microphone, bit pricey , comes with a stand. Only downfall is.. it has to be plugged in at all times. It’s not cordless.

Lastly, this new personalized JBL charge 5: it packs a punch, it’s compact , easy to carry, travel or store it home, very loud, lots of bass (but sometimes the bass can be a downfall)

Great Frequency Range

I have been looking for an upgrade from the Flip 4, which is a very good portable speaker. The Charge 5 did not disappoint. The extra power and addition of the tweeter really took the music to another level in my opinion. Great frequency range and outstanding bass are what you can expect from JBL. If I had one complaint, it would be no AUX port. Other than that, well worth the money.

We have a larger speaker, and a Clip, bought this one to round out our choices, and also because it had a place to charge your phone which we need camping sometimes. I only gave it 4 stars because it would be nice if it had a shoulder strap like the larger one, or at least a place to clip one on, its handier when you can just throw a strap over your shoulder.
