Awesome sounding speaker with some great features!

I just received this model in a office contest. The sound is incredible. The ease of set up is also Super! I am sure that if the longevity is anything like sound and other features that this speaker has, I will enjoy it for years.

Partyboost doesn't work with SMART Tv

Partyboost doesn't work with smartTV, and according to customer support was not intended for this purpose.

The Partyboost function of our JBL Charge 5 will only connect to other Partyboost enabled speakers. The Partyboost feature will not work with smart TV's.

Not close to the 20 hours of playback advertised

I bought the Charge 5 about a month ago and I’m probably on my 4th full charge and the playtime advertised at 20 hours is nowhere near what I’m getting. On a full charge I’m getting about 4 hours worth and that’s playing music not even at full volume, probably around 60% of the volume.

Thanks for your inquiry. Our JBL Charge 5's playtime would last up to 20 hours. This may vary depending on volume and music content. This speaker is equipped with a Li-ion polymer 27 Wh (equivalent to 3.6 V/7500 mAh) Battery. If the speaker doesn't meet the advertised playtime hours even at low to mid volume level, there could be a problem with the battery of the unit. Please contact our Customer Support, so we can assist you.

I purchased a teal colored Charge 5 a couple months ago! I love it and have listened to it about 18 hours a day. I just purchased a matching pair to get even better sound.

Sounds Great! Poor battery life

The speaker sounds great! The battery life is poor though. The first one I bought lasted 15 minutes and had to return it. The replacement was great in the begining. It lastest about 12 hours and now, not so long after is good for 7 hours before the red charge light comes on. That is very disappointing.

But as far as sound quality, I'm really disappointed...
I do wonder about the other reviews praising the high quality, could be mine is defective!?
