I purchased 3 personalized JBL Charge 5’s, for my college aged kids and everywhere they take them they receive compliments on the customized print that included their names. Couldn’t be happier!!! Oh and the sound is great too!!!

Best Purchase Ever!

I have never written a review for anything before, but I’ve always said I would for this speaker so I’m finally getting around to it. I bought the JBL Charge 3 a long time ago when it first came out. I didn’t know what to expect, but I have been absolutely blown away. I love this speaker and I bring it to nearly everything I do. It’s been at the pool, on the beach, on a kayak, and so much more. The sound is incredible, and it blows my mind how long the battery lasts. My friends and family have gotten on board and gotten themselves one too. If this Charge 5 is anything like my Charge 3, I will no doubt be getting one if my 3 ever goes out on me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

JBL just focused on the looks of the new charge 5 but when it comes to battery charge the charge5 doesn’t beat the charge4 at all full charge only lasts 3 hours. Will be returning for s full refund and staying with my charge4. ( it doe’s sound a bit louder but still wouldn’t upgrade not worth it. To expensive! it don’t connect with other jbl speakers with the app witch really sucked.

Why doesn’t my charge 5 come with a wall plug, how am I suppose to charge it
By Customer Support, March 30, 2022
As part of our efforts to reach our environmental goals, our Charge 5 does not include a power adapter in the box. Furthermore, we reallocated the cost savings in that decision to focus on improving Bluetooth software and sound quality on our units. On the other hand, we decided to remove the adapter since we focused on improving Bluetooth software and sound quality on our units instead. We want to provide you with the best audio quality without compromising the price of our products. We hope we're able to answer your question. Thanks.

Stereo to Mono
on July 23, 2021
Posted by: Not happy with your decis
Why would you go from A stereo speaker to a mono one as well as take out the soeakerphone feature? I have purchased jbl bluetooth speakers in the past and wanted to upgrade. I changed my mind and go a speaker that is stereo. Should not have to resort to buying two speakers to reproduce what one did not to mention the extra expense. Backward technology.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great speaker, BUT ONE PROBLEM
on August 12, 2021

Music quality is great on this speaker, better than my Charge 3, and 100x better than the Extreme 2. BUT, I cannot get phone call ring sounds, text message notification sounds, or other notification sounds to come thru the speaker. Therefore, when connected to the speaker and listening to music, I have no idea if my phone rings or if I get a text message or other notification. I have tried with an iPad Pro, an iPhone 8 and with an iPhone 11, all having the newest iOS software. And I have updated the Charge 5 too, BUT, I have no problem with this on my Charge 3, as all phone call ring sounds, text sounds and other notification sounds, from all 3 Apple devices, come thru just fine on the Charge 3.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We appreciate the review you've provided us. Our JBL Charge 5 doesn't have a built-in mic, it can't be used as a speakerphone or support voice commands. Unlike the JBL Charge 4 and Charge 3 which has a built-in microphone that can be used as a speakerphone. If you've had this product for not more than 30 days, you can always return it and get a full refund. Please use the link to contact our customer support. https://bit.ly/2WocMfi

Connect Issues

Hopefully the new JBL Charge 5 will connect when linking 2 or more speakers if you have the latest Samsung Mobile Phones. Distortion occurs when linking my two JBL Charge 4 speakers with my Samsung S21 Mobile Phone. It works just fine with an I Phone. There also was not a problem with my older Samsung S7 Mobile Phone.

Easy to use a bery good sounding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little log is cool. It pairs effortlessly with my iPhone, iPd and Mac. Very full sounding and clear, and it gets LOUD when you crank it up. Would have gotten 5 stars except: 1. Since it is being called a portable speaker, it should have included a case 2. Its a little heavy for a portable 3. Mono - why are all of these bluetooth speakers mono?
