Its important to use a pull thru sharpener designed for your knives.The angle on the wheels are designed for the Miyabi knives but can also be used for the Zwilling German knives that are an asian knife profile, such as a nakiri or a santoku.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very dissapointed

This item worked well for about two times and now doesnt work at all. It seems th eknife is not c9ontacting the sharpening stones, being blocked by the plastic guides. This is an absolute shame as i love my Miyabi knives.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Know that the angles of the sharpener match the angle of the Miyabi knives. Other pull thru sharpeners on the market are set at various degrees of angle. It has performed well for me thus far. I'm surprised others have been disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] from the steel to the cost, the value to quality is here. When you pick up this knife, you can feel the quality. One slice and you're hooked and at about 60 % of other knives in carbide steel , you can't go wrong. You'll enjoy working with the ergonomic handle. This knife can be used for hours without tiring.

Have only used once, but seems OK. I think better quality would be nice and would even be willing to pay more for the higher quality. We will see over time.

This sharpener is a great complement for my Miyabi knives. Works really well and doesn't take up too much space in my knife drawer. Good one for lefty's!!

Every chef or cook who has a Japanese knife and Santoku knife, should have add this tool handheld knife sharpener. It's easy to use and the easiest way to maintain sharpness of the knife.
