SIMPLY SHARP

You have to hone your knives on a regular basis in order to keep them sharp. If the honing steel is too much work, this pull through sharpener does a great job. The angle is set to Japanese knives, which have a smaller edge angle than German knives. It can perform regular every day edge maintenance as well as sharpening. Nothing beats a sharp knife.

It doesn't appear as good as it really is. It's lightweight but wheels within do the trick! Safety guard nice touch.

Good for maintaining that great Miyabi edge

A honing tool is the second thing you purchase after a good knife. Maintaining the blade edge ensures maximum enjoyment of your investment. This one is specifically made for Japanese knives that are sharpened to a narrower angle than Western knives. The diamond & ceramic wheels are great for honing and gently sharpening whatever blade you slide through.

Perfect for sharpening your Miyabi knives. There are two stages, one course and one fine. If you just need to sharpen a bit use only the fine option. The sharpener has no slip feet on the bottom of it making it extremely safe to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Someone used my high-end knives multiple times to cut things on glass surfaces... the knives had several small chips along the edge. I was able to completely restore the edge with this sharpener and now they’re just as sharp as they were when new!

Junk. Not meant for a MIYABI knife. Cuts at the wrong angle. I am honestly surprised that they put their name on this. Not a Wet Stone expert so I have only two options to keep my knife’s sharp 1) Send them out to a professional or 2) last resort step up to a very expensive angle guided stone set up to keep the correct edge from factory. This sharpener will be retuned
