I think I’m using it well but there aren’t any directions and I’ve never used a knife sharpener before. I wish it came with directions as well as an explanation of what Asian and standard means or which to use.

Very good at sharpening my dull knives that I have at home. There were no instructions in the box. I will look them up on YouTube.
