Very good for what it is

I’m an avid hand sharpener and don’t care for this style of sharpener. That said, for what it is, this is probably as good as it can be. It’s stable, easy to use, has quality design and build, and it seems to do a decent job for what it is. I got it so others would not ruin my knives. I think it will meet my expectations.
I was surprised it came without any directions or advice. I would advise folks to rarely use the course slots, and whatever you use, use a very light touch as you sharpen. For the scissors slot, I would also suggest a light touch, and don’t just, “cut the sharpener,” but rather sharpen each blade as you would a knife blade, and both blades evenly.
