Solid and safe construction

Solid rubber base and rubber handle, feels safe. Definitely sharpens dull knives, but I haven’t used it on my newer Zwilling set yet.

I bought this 19-piece Zwilling set for my wife for Christmas, and she is thrilled with it. The knives are razor sharp and ergonomically comfortable. I also purchased the Zwilling pull through knife sharpener. It is well designed not just for function but for safety. The inside of the handle as well as the base have a tacky coating that gives the user a firm slip free grip. The base acts like it is glued to the counter. It is totally non-slip which is wonderful. Kudos to the design engineers.
