Hot is really hot like it should be, cool is room temperature (yuck-personal opinion), cold is really nice and cold, which is how we like it. That way we're not having to put more water in our ice machine because of the amount that we are having to use to chill our ice-water drinks.

My 2 year old Primo motor is already shot. Maybe that is a good thing to push me to by an Avalon instead. So far I love it. Easy to set up. I like the night light feature and self cleaning option.
