Don't rely on regular shears for poultry

These are a nice tool to have if you are cutting up a whole chicken. Built to handle the angles and the task. Locking safety mechanism so they stay closed while in your drawer.

Your Chicken Will Be Scared

These poultry sheers are phenomenal! They have serrated edges on the blade that can get through anything even the thickest chicken bone. Handles are comfortable and equalize any pressure you put on your hand.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Broken after Second use

I upgraded to this product as a replacement for another brand. The second time I used them the blade sniped at the hinge. I will send them back for warranty. It was not an old chicken.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great design and quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These poultry shears were a bit of a splurge, but totally worth it! Very happy with the quality and ergonomic design. These shears have a great shape giving them leverage and comfort to not fatigue your hands. They're by far the best quality and design I've had, my only regret is not splurging sooner!

Shape (and size) matters

These shears are made for the task of cutting a chicken in half. and all the other parts as well. The curve of the blades give you the angle to cut down the backbone to spatchcock a chicken. The sturdiness and thickness of the blades make it possible to cut through the other bones as well. These aren't the shears for packaging or parchment, but when I need to grill a whole open chicken, I am always so happy I have a good pair of poultry shears in the drawer.

Makes "Carving Up" Chicken a Breeze!

These shears make it so unbelievably easy to "carve up" my roast chicken and I no longer have to worry about dulling my knives when I inevitably try to quarter in the wrong place. Can't wait to use these to spatchcock a chicken for the grill this summer!
My only issue with these shears is that sometimes the latch catches when they're in use and you need to re-open it.
