I ended up only needed the igniter itself and not the wire to resolve a no spark condition. The symptom was that when the igniter was pressed there was no noise at all. I checked the battery and it was fine.

After troubleshooting the starter on my 10-year-old Weber Genesis (battery replacement, contact cleaning, wire checks, etc), it was clear I needed a replacement. I was concerned that the replacement process would be difficult, but it was fair easier than expected. Even finding the right starter replacement kit was easy with Weber's online step-by-step selection guide. If you're starter's acting up and troubleshooting doesn't fix the issue, don't hesitate to get the replacement kit. If you can handle a Phillips head screwdriver and follow clear, simple instructions, you're good to go.
