good kit but sketchy intstructions

When I finally got everything back together, the replacement kit worked great. Gets 4 stars because instructions were very poor. Taking off the lid was not necessary at all - maybe it is for other models, not mine. I had one screw that I just couldn't remove and ended up butchering the head of the screw. Was able to work around and get the kit in. Picture in the instructions shows removing something, I assume plastic, from the battery. The battery included with kit didn't have plastic so I ended up removing the battery cover. I wasn't comfortable with that so I threw that battery away. That's why I thought the instructions were very poor. Also we recently purchased this property and the grill was left behind by the previous owners...
