Disappointed. This is the second igniter I’ve had to purchase myself on a three-year-old grill. Obviously there’s a problem.

igniter ok, button is bad design and poor quality

Button design is flawed/. Button does not make contact with the spring. Use a paper clip to jump the battery to the spring and igniter works ok. Seems like this button will continue to fail every 3-4 years.

The igniter kit was a perfect replacement for the original part on my Weber Genesis 310. Installation was very straight forward and easy. Instructions very clear. Installation took less than i hour. I am glad I purchased directly from Weber instead of a third party vendor.
I bought the igniter kit before I looked at the YouTube videos for installation tips. One of the videos recommended that I check the battery contact in the base of the igniter assembly for corrosion before changing the entire igniter assembly. The video even showed how to file the corrosion off. It worked and I did not need to change the igniter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Five days ago, Weber told me that my brand new (never used) E 315 gas grill needed a new igniter because my new grill would not ignite and "all E 315 igniters are faulty". The order was placed that day and as of today, it has not yet been shipped by Weber. I cannot reach anyone at Weber by phone, and Weber has not responded to my emails. I have been a loyal Weber customer, but this is shocking.
