Good news: extremely easy to install, Instructions are straightforward and easy to understand. Whole job took less than 90 minutes.
Bad news: old center burner had flame holes on both sides of the tube. New burner had just one row on top. This, in my case, changed both the time it took for the BBQ to reach 400°- 425°, and the range of front-to-middle-to-back balance I had used for almost twenty years.
It’s not the end of the world, but, the BBQ does not get as hot as it used to get, especially for cleaning, and the balance is quite different. It’s still better than having tubes with holes burned through, just be aware, if you have a pre-2002 Genesis 1000, you’ll be making as many adjustments as the burner tubes.
The burner tube kit was not used and was returned for credit. The existing burners could not be removed because the two large bolts holding the existing burner manifold in place were rusted to the point that I was afraid that I would snap the heads off if I applied too much force on the bolt heads with my socket wrench. I put a "temporary" light aluminum sleeve over that portion of the one tube that had rotted away to allow gas flow throughout the existing three tubes. Got any suggestions?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi, Thank you we greatly appreciate your feedback and we will pass your comments regarding your bolts and have one of our representatives get in contact with you via email. Thanks!
The burner tubes had really deteriorated causing uneven flames for grilling. The new burner tubes allow us to grill perfect meals again. replacing the tubes also allowed us to perform overdue maintenance. Hurrah for WEBER. Awesome products. Nothing finer on the market.
I bought replacement burners, flavor bars and an igniter switch for my Weber gas grill. The parts came with step by step instructions that were easy to follow, even for me. I now have a new efficient grill that should last another 20 years.
I bought burners and grill grates for my son,the grill was a hand me down,30 plus years old.these parts and a little paint,it works and looks good.my Weber is little older but has always been maintained and covered,I think I’ll have them bury me in it..Weber forever..my neighbor has had 10 grills since I purchased mine.
