Compact and tuff

This thing started life hard. Had to cut up steel tubs for a 36 unit apartment remodel. Paired it with Diablo carbide blades and it never quit or overheated! Made it to about 18 of them before having to use it for other jobs. Small, powerful, and easy to menuver in tight spaces.

I bought this saw to help me while hunting. I use it to split the crotch and brisket of the animals I harvest. WAY faster than doing it by hand.

Works good even under heavy load except......

The blade release gets stuck, I know it will break over time. I have to use a screwdriver to get it to release. There should be a small guard up front, I put my hand right under the blade once, where the shaft comes out of the case, there should be something small there to stop that. Otherwise it works better then I expected. I cut up a 40 ft fifth wheel frame with it and a old truck frame. Gets warm.

Great one handed demo tool

This is a great lightweight demolition tool that you can use one handed. Great for quick cutting of nails, pipes, wood, foam insulation, and other materials. It's compact so it'll fit into tight spaces. Small, but packs a punch. I find myself reaching for this tool almost as much as my oscillating tool. It has become more useful than I once thought. And it's DeWalt, so you can't go wrong.

Many Uses

Although not the intended use, I saw this tool and thought this might be the perfect tool for taking out volunteer saplings on my acreage. I was not wrong. Love this thing. I have been using a battery chainsaw which works fine for larger than 2" trees, however this thing is great for tiny up to 3" or larger. It is one handed freeing the other for holding the sapling to keep it from vibrating with the saw. I can see myself wearing this thing out and when I do, I will buy another. Great tool. Use your imagination.

Lightweight and powerful

This is a good investment, and down the road pretty sure Dewalt will figure out a way to increase the stroke, as that's the only downfall, 0.625" versus the 1.125" inch as there other larger models stroke length.
