If you just need a phone and not a camera this is the phone for you. Still takes excellent photos but the zoom is where it loses power. Reasonable battery life and doesn’t take up too much space in your pocket. Would not get this phone for 1,100 but at $300-$500 it’s a great alternative.

This phone is the worst iPhone I have ever had. Mind you I’ve only had 2 previous iPhones prior to this one. I started with the iPhone 6 and when it would no longer hold the charge, I upgraded to the iPhone XR. Both of these phones were better than the iPhone Air. Mind you, I can’t afford to put down $1200 for a new phone, otherwise I would get the latest and greatest. I got the iPhone Air because it was free and I only had to pay the sales tax. Yes it is light and that’s about the only good thing. The speaker phone is horrible. You cannot hear the person on the other end. The camera is horrible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This isn't a flagship specked out phone so don't expect it. But what it does do is perfect for me. Basic but useable photos, fast response, access to relevant apple features. The light weight of this phone makes every other flagship phone I've had feel like a brick. Best phone for doom scrolling in bed because this time if you drop it you will likely avoid a black eye lol. Jokes aside this phone is pretty imo and good for a basic user who doesn't need extra features for something like content creation or heavy gaming.
