[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this installed a few weeks ago to cool a large open multi-room area. Very pleased to find that it does the job quickly, and delighted that it does so quietly.
I especially appreciate that in "Energy Saver" mode the sound of the fan turning on and off is whisper-quiet. Only tricky thing was the need for a special outlet (240v).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box, I knew that I would like this air conditioner. It is streamlined and modern looking. When it was first turned on, I didn't think it was working. That's how quiet it is. It cools my whole first floor easily. I do agree with another reviewer about the rear fins not being protected. I am keeping this unit in my window year round and it will be exposed to weather and foot traffic. So that issued should be addressed somehow.

Insulation isn't the best and there is definitely a heat load on hot summer days. The central HVAC won't cool this upstairs area and needs to be supplemented. This LG is very quiet for a window unit and is cooling the area nicely.
