[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the 44 years that have lived in this trailer this is the 4th window unit installed chose this LG over a Fredrick because of the advertised quiet running and this is a accurate claim from LG all other features work well I get average 6 to 10 years out of window unit because I remove unit out of sleeve at least once a year for through cleaning, also install window screen over intake grills held in place with magnets for easy cleaning this prevents bugs and debris from getting into internals remains to be seen if this dual inverter tech. is reliable over many years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I purchased this unit to replace one which was in our home when we bought it almost 25 years ago. It cooled the room faster and was much quieter in operation than the one it replaced. Excellent workmanship, materials, and styling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always trusted LG Technology and Quality. 18000 BTU air conditioners are normally loud and costly to run. Not this one!! The Dual Inverter is a game changer. Another LG appliance home run. BTW this unit replaced a 14 year old 18k LG.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit to cool and dehumidify a garage/shop. Since the area is only about 725 square feet, I knew this 18,000 BTU model would be more than enough. Installation was very straight forward. I built in the existing 4 foot by 2 foot window opening to be only slightly larger than the unit itself, making it unnecessary to use the expanding "wings" that come with it. I then screwed down a 1 inch thick piece of hard maple to the sill to extend out of the window by about 12 inches for extra support. Being an 18,000 BTU model, I also ran wiring for a 240 volt outlet and mounted that just above the window opening. Having the main "guts" of the unit easily removed from the metal cabinet makes getting everything installed so much easier; no more holding a very heavy air conditioner in the window opening while making critical measurements. The end user only needs to mount the outer cabinet and then can easily (with the help of a friend) lift and slide the air conditioner itself into the cabinet. The unit cools down my insulated garage in no time and removes excess humidity at the same time. The low current draw at 240 volts also allows me to run a table saw, dust collector and the air conditioner all at the same time with no issues at all. LG makes a great product and I'm very happy with my purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We don’t have central air and I bought this during a heat wave and out 1,600 square foot house was in the 80-90’s. This unit cooled my house right off!
