Far Beyond Expectations

This is the most incredible sound improvement I've ever made. I was hesitant at first due to the price point, but after 4 months, I'm ecstatic, couldn't be happier. I upgraded the TV to a 65" Roku Pro Series and decided to bump the sound as well. Old set up was thru a 2 channel receiver bookshelf spkrs, with an 8" woofer. The Q800D hooked right up to eArc port, and WOW! The clarity, punch, and definition on dialog, environment, and music is amazing. I actually had to back the bass off a tad for the room (and my neighbors). Blutoothed Pandora from my phone, cranked it, and even out at the sidewalk I was a very happy camper. I never imagined a soundbar surpassing receiver sound but the Q800D does, in spades (imho). I'm as satisfied as I could be, and you should really put this one on your list for consideration.

Product doesn’t last

I bought this product 15 months ago. Just after the 1 year mark, the sound will not hold. It’s severely muted, tin can like and goes in/out. It’s been paired with a 2023 QN85C and the TV speakers are better than soundbar. Done a full factory reset numerous times and updated the software. Out of warranty with no option to just buy new soundbar without subwoofer. Very disappointing to only get a year out of this give the cost.

We appreciate you taking a few moments to review the Samsung HW-Q800D Soundbar. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the sound occasionally dropping from your soundbar.
You may first want to check the cable connection of the soundbar to the TV or external device to ensure it is secure, and properly connected to the correct port.
In addition to checking the connections of the soundbar, please make sure your soundbar is using the latest firmware Version. Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. You can update your firmware by using a USB device.
You may also want to initialize your soundbar by pressing the - and + (volume) buttons on the top of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset. Please know, this will reset all settings on the soundbar back to default; any sound adjustments will need to be performed again.
Should you continue to experience audio dropouts, and are connected wirelessly, please use the included cable to connect the soundbar to the TV. Using a wired connection instead of wireless often eliminates the issue entirely and improves the user experience.

This soundbar changed my whole setup!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soundbar is honestly fire I’ve been using it every day and it just makes everything sound way better.
Movies hit way harder now the surround sound really pulls you in and the bass is deep without shaking the whole place.
Even when I’m just cleaning or playing music in the background it fills the room with super clear sound,
The vocals come through clean and everything just feels balanced.
It looks clean too not bulky or distracting just fits in smooth with everything!

Incedible and amazing theater sound

It's a smart t.v., gaming screen, computer screen, and security monitor all in one dynamite package. I absolutely love how the company has managed to tie it nicely with my phone, tablet, watch, and playstation with the best user interface of all the top of the line compnies. Piece of cake to connect everything together. The graphics are able to show the difference from my old setup and make me grateful for the upgrade. I really like the many options toi that let me uniquely set it to my personal preferance and style
