College Fuel!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started buying Nespresso when I moved into my first college apartment and my life is changed. Nespresso makes having my morning fuel beyond easy, and the coffee is the best I’ve had. I don’t find myself craving to buy coffee on a day to day since I know the ones I can make at home are even better. I love going to the store and seeing the menu and deciding what pods I want to buy. From the pods flavors to design, they create a fun pocket of my life. Thanks Nespresso for making my college days more fun!

Most fun descale process EVER

Whoever designed this has to have intended it to be the most infuriating and annoying descale process possible. It’s literally comical how arbitrary the process steps seem (close the lid, open it and touch the lever twice, rotate lever but do not latch. Say “descale” and pray to nespresso gods) and how the machine just seems to decide on a whim to suddenly work its way on to the next step in the process. Every time I make one of these stupid purchases I am reminded how completely intentionally planned obsolescence is worked into the product so that you will buy another unit. Because the world is full of people that will simply give up on descaling and buy another unit when this one doesn’t work anymore. I just spent an hour screaming and cursing at this stupid unit because I was dumb enough to think “oh I’ll descale my coffee machines while I clean” on a hot summer day. My neighbors probably think I am in a COD lobby talking to a troll named “d_scale”. Thank you Nespresso for making this hot summer day that much worse. And Hooray for late stage capitalism and consumerism.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Update on a classic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to replace our classic Vertuo machine. I appreciate the concentrated iced feature (double click start) although I have yet to try if it is, indeed, more concentrated. The machine is more compact horizontally, but it is longer than the classic machine, which surprised me and the sleekness is still off-set by the water container off the back.
