I've had mine for 3 months now and absolutely love it. My old hands and fingers don't work so well any more but the Switch Plier is like having a fhird hand while doing a job. Can't live withoit it now
I had this Multi Tool for a little while, and I'm glad I had it with me, I brought it with me, never thinking how this Switch - plier was going to help, I decided to put a Dangler on my sheath, sounds simple Huh ? Well the leather was new and springy, and the screw wasn't very long, so I folded everything up and believe me I has my hands full, It seemed so easy until I tried putting it together by tge camp fire, Thank God I had this Switch - Plier with me, First of all just by a push of a botton it opened up, the screw driver locked in place, the pressure with the plier was what I needed to beable to line the holes up with enough pressure the screw caught with the part that I ended tightening it with the magnetized driver, boy that really came in handy too, Boy, Thank You S.O.G. for thinking of this very handy tool, Yeah, it seems like I wasn't good at this, but I had my hands full, and when I needed it most, I was a to use your wonderful tool with one hand, That's what I'm talking about, Thank You, S.O.G, , ,
Improvement over the original SwitchPliers, but...

The SwitchPlier 2.0 is a good improvement over the original SwitchPlier, but still needs further work. My EDC of the SwitchPlier 2.0 has revealed two issues.
The addition of a belt clip on the 2.0 is welcomed, but the strength of the spring tension in the belt clip where it is secured to the body of the SwitchPlier 2.0 is lacking, for I have had to re-bend it several times now. I'm considering returning it to SOG.
If your have the SwitchPlier 2.0 in your pocket either with or without the use of the pocket clip. the SwitchPlier 2.0 by itself will frequently deploy the pliers head within your pocket.
This could be remedied by a safety lock (i.e. like the ones on several of the SOG folding knives) or a sliding cover over the pliers head deployment button.
Good step forward from the original design of the SwitchPlier, but not there yet.
Although the plier is top notch and I love it, the blades all stick together and open at the same time. I do not like serrated blades but there is no other option and it would be nice if the blades could open without raising the plier handle first. Overall, SOG quality is excellent and I will continue buying SOG products.
Bought it about a couple of months ago. It does not rust. Great quality. Only necessary tools. Classy in design. Very easy to use. Not too much or too little. It is just right. Awesome quality. Absolutely adore it. I keep it one while sailing, driving and at work. I work as a physician and often have to deal with fish hooks, nails etc... Knife is very sharp. The pliers are totally redesigned. Great engineering !!!' Thanks SOG! You guys are ahead of everyone else. As they say, there can only be one "number one".
