Great all around tool

Have this for my lake place and boat where some tool is always necessary but never there when you need it.

I got this for Christmas from my husband he knew I'd been wanting it! It's perfect for me for work use. I love the functionability of it and it looks awesome. The pliers are neat how it opens and the knife is sharp along and its extremely well built overall. Some people said they are afraid of it opening in their pocket but I can say that you have to push the button for any of the tools to be accessed and you can't just bump it open.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic piece, one catch though...

I bought this 2 weeks ago, so I'm still breaking it in. I can't get over the flip out feature for the plyers. It's fast, sounds good, design looks great. Every tool on this piece is great and for the price along with life time warranty sweetins the deal. Two quams though, the push button is usually triggered when I'm sitting and depends where it is situated on me, it can open. This could probably be fixed with a case, which did not come with the original package. The other issue being that certain tools such as flat screen driver or Philips screw driver can't fit past the closed needle nose pliers in it's closed position. Requires the pliers to be opened to put the other tools away. The tool is rated as heavy grade, but I find it's best for light jobs with it's quick deployment. I would recommend it.

Version 2 is as good as the original...

I bought the original Switch Plier for the cool factor and then learned to love its function. Bought the current version after my first one got stolen and like is just as much. I find it to be a light- to medium-duty tool. Within its limits, it works great. And it's still cool.

Had mine for a while now. Very quick and satisfying deployment: always gets a reaction from the people around you. All tools lock in place. Handsome pocket clip as opposed to a carrying case (plus for me).
Only issues I've had is that sometimes it will deploy while in your own pocket if you brush against something just right. Hasn't caused any problems, though. Also, at one point in time the pliers wouldn't lock all the way in place, but after a quick cleaning that issue was resolved.

I have wanted one of these for a while and picked one up recently at a camping store on sale. I love the way it is laid out and the functionality of the pliers. I agree with others that it is a light duty tool, but I have not had any problems so far. The focus of this tool is the quick deploying pliers. It's nice to have the other tools as well. It's a little bulky for EDC pocket carry, but I have not had the pocket deployment problem that others have mentioned.

The gearing on the pliers really does add force to the pliers; it's not just a gimmick. I've used these for 5 or 6 years now with no problems. Assuming the quality is the same for people with more with more recent reviews, I don't know what they were doing to bend and break them. The action isn't as smooth as it was when it was new, but it still works fine. You can break any tool; no folding multi tool is going to be as sturdy as a standard pair of pliers. This pair holds up as good as any of their competitors, and I've used a few.
