Absolutely love this tool. It is sleek and fits well in the pocket of my jeans, has a number of features that I use in my everyday life and overall is just a slick deal!

Great style, poor handle

Just bought this today. Box was opened and knife was used. The handle was broken. That is not SOG's fault. Yet with the broken handle I noticed that the handle has a very week hinge. For most folks who do not have a strong grip this is fine. If you do have a strong grip you could easily brake the hinge on this great looking tool. :-( disappointing!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pliers failed

This tool has a big design flaw in the pliers mechanism, this tool is useless.
The first time I applied real presure to the pliers the inside mechanism just broke/failed and now the tool handles close but the pliers dont apply preassure.
Im very dissapointed with this tool, the idea is great, the looks of the tool is awesome but the tool is uselees.
Do not buy this tool.
SOG you should test this tool and look at the fail because is a big fail.

I haven't had to use the Switch for anything yet as I just got it yesterday. Overall quality and build is great, but I feel it was rushed and it could have been more if not one of the best multi-tools on the market. The pocket clip, is very flimsy as far as make. Not sure what steel its made of but a thicker stronger gauge would be perfect whereas the current spec has the potential to bend and lose its grip. So my only complaint beyond that is that I think it should have scissors, a saw, cord/seat belt cutter, either be merged with the Reactor with its assisted opening blade or one of its own, and a thicker, stronger blade steel. You'll thank me or want to hire me if you were to implement these concepts. I'd gladly pay $200+ for a multi-tool with all of that. And by the way, I bypassed Leatherman for you ladies and gents.

The SwitchPlier is a tool I use every day. From the Pliers, Screw drivers to the knife, I use every tool it has to offer. I found that when I moved to a new apartment, having everything in one tool was very convenient.

Purchased 2 for Christmas gifts. My husband and his son L O V E D them, and the other men in the family would like them for Christmas next year or sooner. Can't go wrong with this cool tool. They like the switch blade action and its not bulky like a leatherman tool.
