No longer works on network and need dymo labels

I purchased this 550 after using the 450 for years. You cannot use the 550 on a network so you have to purchase one to be at every computer. You also have to purchase labels straight from dymo, putting small label making companies lose business. Shame on dymo.

Please be informed that since you have the Turbo version of the LabelWriter 550 printer, you will be able to use the printer over your network either by setting it as a Shared printer or by using the optional LAN Connectivity feature. 550 - terrible product

I was used DYMO LabelWritter 400. We upgraded for DYMO LabelWritter 550. From previous use, we had some rolles of stickers from 400 - but it is not usable for 550. 550 si terrible product. We cannot use sticker from 400

careful you have to use genuine dymo lables now

we only use dymo due to shopify/stocky software only supporting the dymo printers - but as we now have to use dymo branded labels we have now implemented a completely new warehouse management system so we can get away from these cheap printers and their efforts to force us to use their genuine label stock - we will be throwing this product in the bin.

Our LabelWriter 5 series printers are only compatible with DYMO Authentic labels manufactured after April 2020 as they have been tested and will offer the most user-friendly experience with our printers. Our DYMO authentic labels prevent issues such as excessive feeding, label jams, and misaligned printing.

Terrible Dymo!

I've been using the new Dymo for about two months and I hate it. It will not connect to my computer wirelessly, so I have to move my computer close enough to the printer to use a cord. In addition to that annoyance, the print quality is not as good as the old Dymo 450.

You will need to connect the printer to your network via a LAN cable to share the printer to your network. company not versitle enought with their labels

I like Dymo labelWriter however since thee latest 550 only takes Dymo labels it doesn't work at all with other labels and they don't make the sizes I need item being returned very disappointed in this change

Sorry the product not meet my expectation

I Just buy it and return it the printer because of your new type of lables that require the machine i hope you could hold back your costumers because yo lost and other one this was my third printer that i want to buy Dymo but i just return it, i dont recomend to buy this printer for now. Good luck . I hope your sales go up with your new policies

ONLY purchase if you only need WHITE labels

This machine is not as well-made as the 450s are. It is much smaller as well. I have very small hands and it is tricky for me to load the labels with the little space provided. But the biggest reason I've returned the one we purchased is that it ONLY take DYMO brand labels, which would be fine except that those labels ONLY come in WHITE. We use 4 different color labels for various things in our office, so this does not serve our purpose.

Not Reliable & Label Supply Availability is poor

Do not purchase this product!! We bought the 550 Turbo, which printed well for a short time on the small label rolls provided with the unit. Finding "authentic" DYMO labels is nearly impossible. When we did, they did not work either. As a business, we need reliability and supply availability. This product has neither. We are pursuing other options. Paying more to get relaibility. Please don't respond with standard language about "authentic" DYMO labels. That is not the problem.

Please be aware that all DYMO Labels manufactured after April 2020 are compatible with the LabelWriter 5 series printer.
To verify if your labels are compatible with the LabelWriter 5 series, please examine the packaging or the core of the labels. If the packaging is blue with two black dots next to the barcode or green with the recycling sign at the bottom left corner of the front part of the package, then the labels are compatible. Also, if there is a DYMO logo on the core of the labels, they are compatible with the LabelWriter 5 series.
Furthermore, we recommend purchasing from labelcity.com because this supplier specifies on their website whether the labels are compatible with the LabelWriter 5 series printers.
