I have owned this for years and it's the best investment I've ever made! It is easy to use, economical, and label reorder is a snap. It is so useful for anyone with diminished handwriting ability. I can't say enough good things about this product!

No Easy Labels To Find!

I purchased this DYMO for our company as it meets all of the security standards for them but I am having a hard time just purchasing labels for it. I was sent 3 rolls to replace the ones I have but I can't seem to find labels that work for this one easily. Everyone shows the ones needed but then says may be sent a different kind which turns out to be the ones I can't use!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please Note that the printer uses our latest labels that were manufactured after April 2020. To see the kind of labels the printer uses, please go to dymo.com>Labels and Tapes>LabelWriter labels, and you will see what the box for the labels looks like.

550 Turbo? More like 550 Proplems

Using correct labels. Machine says "Out of labels" every single time I take a short break and print more. Have to open it up, take the labels out and put it back in or turn the machine off and back on to get it to detect again. This has been an ongoing problem for a while now.

Only uses dyno labels should be in bold printer. Yes we are converting to a different printer.

Dose not work.

This product keeps on not printing my labels every time I turn it off the power goes back to blinking and saying the printer is not connected to the computer.

The flashing light on your device could be as a result if the printer is disconnected, labels are not detected or there is a label jam.

Waisted time and money!

I upgraded, thinking I could use the supplies I already have. Nope! It must be their labels. They don't even allow labels to be interchangeable with a previous version.

All DYMO Labels manufactured after April 2020 are compatible with the LabelWriter 5 series printer but if you have the old DYMO labels kindly get in touch with us directly so we can resolve this.

Waisted time and money.

Labels are not interchangeable between previous product version. In unable to use the thousands of labels I already have. It seems like waisted money on an upgrade in unable to use, without spending lots more money.

I can only use Dymo Labels. What a ridiculous limitation! It's essentially coercing customers into exclusively using their labels, which should be against the law. I purchased the printer for the sole purpose of printing labels, so why have they designed it with a mechanism that restricts me to only their labels? If I had known this beforehand, I would have never made the purchase. Now, I've wasted my time dealing with this frustrating issue. When I buy a printer, I expect the freedom to use whatever labels I choose. Clearly, they are trying to force customers into buying only their labels, which is unacceptable. This practice should either be illegal or, at the very least, come with a prominent disclaimer stating that it can only be used with their special labels which happen to be more expensive. It's extremely frustrating & a shady business tactic.
