I purchased this for a backup, emergency scenario for my house. Within 2 weeks of getting it, we lost power about an hour before sunset I easily plugged in a light, and made plans for the fans and freezer I would soon need to power. Luckily, the power was only out a couple hours. However, my initial feeling when it went out was one of “I got this “ rather than the usual dread I had felt in the past.
I bought my EcoFlow Delta Pro and Smart Extra Battery on the Kickstarter campaign. I was looking for something to power multiple devices in the event of a power outage, and this fit the bill nicely. It was a lot cheaper than getting solar panels and batteries for my home. But it's an expandable system so I can add panels and integrate it into my home at a later time. It easily powers my refrigerator and several other devices simultaneously for the occasional outage. I purchased a rolling cart to help move the units around. Even though they both have handles and wheels, it's easier to move them at the same time together. I purchased EcoFlow solar panels separately, and they are easy to connect to charge the batteries in the event of an extended outage. I've already had a couple power outages at home where I've used the units already.
The only issue I have is the cable that connects the Delta Pro and the Extra Battery adds a lot of additional space to the back of the units when connected. It adds about nine extra inches to the back, so you have to account for that when placing the units somewhere. If they could make a right angled plug with a more flexible cable to reduce that extra needed space, that would be awesome.
Overall, I'm very happy with the Delta Pro and Extra Battery setup that I purchased.
We bought our Delta Pros (2) during the Kick Starter Promotion. We initially purchased them to provide off grid power for our campers when we finally purchase some property to build a Tiny House on. While we haven't actually used them for that purpose, we are usually busy with some remodeling project for one of our campers. The Delta Pro worked great when we decided to run some power tools inside our house. We usually work out in the barn that actually has a more reliable power supply than our old Victorian house. So instead of tripping breakers inside the house we plugged into the Delta Pro and had zero issues. Really looking forward to some off grid camping and eventually setting up our Tiny House and "guest campers" on our own property.
Got the Delta Pro and 440 watt solar panel couple months ago then decided to add two extra batteries so I could run my fridge and freezer plus some fans for a few days, using this only for backup at home. Also bought a Delta and portable solar panels for camping, looking forward to using those soon. Units seem to be well built and sturdy, love the handles for rolling. Well pleased so far.
I do a lot of drone flying jobs on movie sets and I really much rely in independent power on many locations. Before the Delta Pro I had the original Ecoflow Delta. With this Power Station I got half a day of power for my drone batteries and I had to recharge the Delta at the break. With the Delta Pro I now have at least a full day of power and this makes my life so much more easier. In general build quality and performance is great. I can't say anything bad about the Delta Pro. Another real advantage is the fast charging feature which is in my opinion pretty unique and was definitely a deal maker for me.
We spent a LOT of time researching solar units similar to the Delta Pro before pulling the trigger. For US, it was the best value and investment for the money and price point on the market, albeit we did buy on the KS platform. Totally one heck of a solid, quality made product with a great online community that can offer help for any issue you might come up with. Our second EcoFlow product, also own the River Pro, and won’t be our last!
We recently purchased the EcoFlow DELTA Pro and an extra smart battery to expand our power available. There was a terrible thunderstorm this past week that knocked out our power for several hours. If we didn't have the EcoFlow DELTA Pro and the extra smart battery, we would've been without power and no way to keep lights on, fridge/freezer running, and more importantly keep cool with our window unit plugged in. Thank you for making such an easy to use product! We will definitely be expanding further in the future!
I have been looking for a while for a good portable generator with out gas. I have been looking at a lot of these and when the delta pro came out with the bigger outlet, that is what sold it for me. It is very easy to set up and to get the app and have all the info on it. Very easy to plug stuff in and have it work. The info on charging and the uses are great. with having freezers and extra fridges with food, its a must. I am not a preper, but this thing is a must if you have extra appliances that need to run when power is out. sump pumps in storm is a key if you have a basement. It can even charge your Tesla a little bit if needed. Sometimes you just need 5 to 10 miles to get to a charger and this back up gives piece of mind. Its expensive, but worth it. Lots of cycles in the batteries and the life seems to be long. It stores charge for a good while as well. Love the fact that is fully charges in 2 hours with the AC cord. So far I am a big fan of this unit.
