RFID Chip in label rolls

I have purchased and used over 100 Dymo LabelWriters in my multistate retail stores and warehouses, and loved them. Now with the RFID chip on the Dymo rolls, making it impossible to purchase less expensive labels, I am phasing out the Dymo LabelWriter in all locations. It makes me sad, Dymo has been my go to printer for over 10 years
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love this label machine

I am not sure why some people are having issues with this label printer. WE love having the option of having two different sets of labels ready to go in the machine. My boss just ordered me to order 4 more machines.

LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo stops computer booting

Ever since we have connected a new LabelWiter 450 Twin Turbo onto a new HP Desktop, we are met with frequent hangs of the computer boot process. Disconnect the Dymo-printer, which is connected through USB, and the computer boots like a charm. We have tried everything: changing the boot order, so USB-boot has a lower priority, disabeling USB-boot completely - nothing helps - the Dymo needs to be disconnected to get the computer to boot. I have never seen this before .....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. In this case, we would like to recommend unplugging the printer every time when the computer is turned off and then plugging it back in when the computer gets turned on.
You can also uninstall everything that is DYMO related from your computer and then reinstall the software.

printing 2 labels problem

I bought Demo LW 450 Twin Turbo but the software is terrible, I thought I can print 2 different size labels with the same address in one easy step, but I have to print one label & than second label separately. It should be 2 labels on 1 screen & click print. 2 labels with same address but on different size labels at once. Maybe I'm wrong but with this new software it is impossible.

Please accept our sincere apologies, I would like to inform you, on both DYMO softwares only one label could be created each time. LabelWriter 450Twin turbo could print only one side each time but you could create and save the labels to print quickly switching to another side of printer. However your feedback is important to improve ourselves.

450 Twin Turbo no longer works

I've have the 450 Twin Turbo for years and it operated flawlessly. Now I can't get it to work on a machine with Windows 10 (it can't find the printer?!) and the install fails on a machine with Windows 11. I'm so frustrated!

If the computer is not recognizing the printer, please plug the printer directly into your computer because USB hubs/adapters are not supported, make sure it is the only thing that is plugged in. Go to Control Panel and open Device Manager, click on View at the top and Show hidden files.
Under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers folder, please check if there is any Printing Support, If there is any Printing Support there, please right-click on it, disable it first, and uninstall it. Press the following keys on your keyboard: WINDOWS then R, type in: services.msc and look for an option that says Print Spooler. Right-click on Print Spooler and stop the print spooler.
Go to your file folder and open the following files C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all the contents in the last folder. Press the following keys on your keyboard: WINDOWS then R, right-click on Print Spooler, and start the Print Spooler. Go to Control Panel>Devices and Printers, select any printer on the list and click on PrintServer properties at the top, and select Drivers.
Select the DYMO drivers on the list and click Remove and choose to remove drivers only. Unplug your printer and plug it back in, then try to print a label.

Awful software experience

When I "updated" to the DYMO Connect software, I have been unable to routinely even use my label printer at all. I simply cannot relay on my LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo to work.

Supports many label types! Reliable!

I have used the DYMO LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo Direct Thermal Label Printer for several years. I own three: one for home office use and one at each of two non-profit organizations where I volunteer as the treasurer.
I can print a variety of labels, including stamps (although I prefer Stamps.com). Since this is a twin unit, I usually have delivery address labels in one side and stamps in the other. I only swap the labels when I need to print something unique (for me), such as file folder labels.
Like many other customers, I prefer the older DYMO software, but that's easily remedied by downloading DYMO Label v.8.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good LabelWriter 450 But Terrible Software

The 450 Twin Turbo has been great for me with the old software but the new software, Dymo Connect, is not meant for the 450 twin turbo. I need the option of which label to print which is why I bought this particular printer, but the new software does not allow this option or at least I can not find that it does. The new software is not user friendly or twin turbo friendly. Recommend product but not software. I want the old software back.

Our old software, the DYMO Label Software version 8 is still available for download from our website. Please note that there will be no further updates in the software as our leading software is now the DYMO Connect Software.
To change the label size in the DYMO Connect Software, please click on NEW then select your desired label size under Label Type.
