Most beautiful sound show

I haven’t been this excited for a package to be delivered in a very long time. The personalized packaging made me feel like it was a gift from a friend.
The headphones are so comfortable. When I heard my favorite music through the headphones, my eyes widened and I opened my mouth in surprise. I expected high quality from Bose, but this was so much more.
To describe the feeling I first had when listening to these headphones may not be relatable to most people. As a senior citizen, as I underwent cataract surgery for my eyes, I experienced the phenomenon of seeing the most brilliant colors like a kaleidoscope during the procedure. I have never seen clarity like this in 67 years! That’s what it feels like when I am listening with the Bose headphones on, I am hearing sound like I’ve never heard it, like a kaleidoscope for my ears

Fantastic Upgrade!!

Pros:
* Noise cancellation improved drastically over the 700s
* Immersive audio met and exceeded expectations
* Bass is heavy without being unbalanced
* Auto-on/off is a nice add-on
* Noticeable upgrade in microphone and noise reduction
Cons:
* Prefer the touch panel feature of the 700s compared to the buttons for control
* No way to adjust noise cancelling unless you create a new "Mode"
* Ear cups are not interchangeable between 700 and Ultra
This is my third pair of Bose headphones over the last 8 years and the Ultras are by far the best. I started with the QC 25s in 2025 when I left for college and then upgraded to the 700s in 2019. Great improvements in the noise cancellation and bass. The bass is great in these and blows my previous 25s and 700s out of the water but still remain balanced enough that it's not overpowering. I used wore these throughout a noisy airport and on my flight and couldn't hear anything around me. The immersive audio is a fantastic new feature and really adds to the music listening experience. The "Still" vs. "Motion" is great, the "still makes it feel like you're in the first row at a concert for your favorite band. The auto on/off is a great feature for when you're switching between having them on and off. There are a couple of minor drawbacks and personal preferences with the first being buttons instead of a touch panel for controls. I got used to and still prefer the touch panel controls on my 700s to the buttons on the ultra. I think it's easier to swipe to adjust volume or skip instead of having to press the button several times to skip. As far as I know, you can't manually adjust the noise cancellation level without creating an entirely new "Mode" within the Bose app which is a bit of a pain when you want to adjust the settings quickly. I also noticed that the ear cup pads are spaced differently from the 700s. I wore out my first set of pads on my 700s and bought a replacement pair that was deeper and allowed for more space and grew used to hat feeling. I was hoping that the spacing would be the same but they are not so my ears feel slightly cramped compared to what I'm used to.
Overall though, this is a fantastic upgrade in the line of Bose headphones and would highly recommend them!

Bose excels Again!

I love music. My first experience with Bose was 1976 when I was looking for speakers to build my component system. The minute I listened to the Bose 901’s I knew I had to have them. I was hooked. Since then, I have purchased other Bose products: 201 Speakers, SoundDock, and Bose Sport Open Earbuds.
But back to the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones. I listened to a myriad of musical genres, such as: Jazz, Pop, and Latin to get a broad feel of what these headphones had to offer. In addition, I also sampled a generational spectrum of musical artists: from Etta James, Santana, Pavarotti, The Who and Pink.
Bottom line is: the phenomenal clarity and definition of the music produced by these headphones needs to be experienced by music lovers to be believed. I could list a string of superlatives, but words would fall short of the auditory experience.
The Bose QC Ultra Headphones are not only luxuriously comfortable to the ears, but feel close to weightless. The controls for on/off, volume, and Bluetooth are handy and easily accessed at the base of the right headphone. The functionality is uncomplicated. Bose QC Ultra Headphones connect to the Bose Music app and this app provides additional controls for the headphones such as: Modes (allowing for choices from Noise Cancelling to Aware or Total Immersion,) and an easy-to customize equalizer to fine tune bass, mid and treble sounds.
Bose has definitely distinguished themselves as the true leader in the development of these spectacular headphones. The bold sound that emits from these headphones is a thing of auditory beauty. Just listen to Whitney Houston sing “I Will Always Love You” and you will always love Bose. Or Etta James croon “At Last!” and you will agree at last I have headphones that connect me to the music. These headphones are the best way to listen to the music you love. The Bose QC Ultra Headphones transport you to the sound studio as the musicians intended their music to truly be heard.
The quality, clarity and eloquence of the musical experience, Bose has raised the bar to a level that is literally music to my ears. So let your ears lead you to best headphones which are undoubtedly Bose Quiet ComfortUltra Headphones.
Happy listening.

Great Quality Sound and Headphone

Once again Bose outdid themselves with another great headphone. I was able to rediscover some old music I used to listen to with the QC Ultra. These headphones allowed me hear the different layers and elements of the music for the first time and I’ve heard these songs countless times. It was almost as if I’ve heard them for the first time again. Some pros I identified were again the exceptional sound, easy to connect to my phone with the Bose app, great battery life and a very long Bluetooth range. It was very comfortable to wear and the cherry on top is how slim it is with a very compact travel case. Some cons were the price compared to previous generations, but that could be a personal preference. Second, it takes time to adapt to the volume control which is located on the right side. Lastly, in the summer it can make your ears sweaty after prolonged wear. Other than that it has great quality sound and is a great headphone which the reason why Boss dominates my sound ecosystem. They are superior when it comes to sound.

Best Noise-Canceling Headphones for flights
on October 17, 2023

The new Bose QuietComfort Ultra is my second set of noise-concealing over-the-ear headphones. It’s undoubtedly spectacular in almost every aspect.
Being an immigrant I take international flights from east coast to Asia visiting my family every year. I observe that most people in business class use Bose noise-canceling headphones to obliterate cabin noise and isolate themselves for flying on an airplane. So I got myself a Bose QuiteComfort 35 II years ago and still using it in 2023. Its noise concealing ability are still phenomenal, terrific for travel and commuting, especially for international flights.
The new Bose QC Ultra has excellent isolation and active noise canceling (ANC) technology, as well as comfortable fit with high end Immersive Audio (giving full range to the height, depth and breadth of the music). I thought I don’t need the latest and greatest of noise-canceling headphones, but I was wrong.
Bose has made incremental improvements on their ability to block out low-level noises giving user great isolation with Quite Mode. Particularly with the feature of Immersive Audio Mode, QC Ultra provides a 3D sound experience transporting user into a more lifelike and deeper audio experience.
Besides the phenomenal sound quality, Bose QC Ultra also provides best possible wearing comfort. Lightweight, stylish, delightful detail, well built quality and high capacity battery. The ear pads are thicker, tighter but comfortably cover my ears. The headband can be easily adjusted to snug fit on my head. A full charge gives up to 24 hours and I don’t have to recharge it for the past 4 days’ everyday 3-4 hours usage.
Setup and connection are easy. Bose Music app has good instruction and is helpful.
Less buttons, ease on, ease off. Bose QC Ultra will automatically wake up when user put them on head. Sleep and save battery when take off. Press Bluetooth button for power on or off, the headphones will be power off completely if not use for 24 hours.
There is touch sensitive strip for the volume that works great. Just sliding finger up or down at the surface of right earcup to adjust the volume, much like all Bose Frames and recent Bose headphones. It's quite responsive.
To my surprise, the noise-canceling and the volume control work with wire on Bose QC Ultra, which most of the controls and noise-cancelling don’t work on Bose QC 35 II with wire. I use Bose headphones with wire when playing Roland electric piano. The good thing is when Bose QC Ultra in wired mode, as long as the battery isn’t dead, ANC will works in wired mode and I can use Quiet, Aware, or Immersive mode. If the battery dies completely I can still use the Bose QC Ultra in wired mode without power, just with no noise cancellation like Bose QC 35 II in wired and other wired headphones.
However, I found the volume range of Bose QC Ultra with wire is limited and sounds a bit weak, also not as clarity as my 20+ years old Sony MDR-V700 wired headphones. This is the only cons I wish Bose can get improvement for its wireless overhead headphones.

These are a FANTASTIC Upgrade!

Wow. Bose does it again.
I have been a long time user of Bose Products. Over the years I’ve owned about 6 or so pairs of Bose headphones and several Bose speaker systems. However, these are by far the best. I do currently also own a pair of the Bose QC-35 headphones and would say that this was a wonderful upgrade from the QC-35.
From the packaging to the product, to the case to the overall design, Bose thought of it all. However what sets these apart has to be the immersive audio, particularly the “motion” option which truly immerses you in the sound.
I typically wear headphones when doing work, relaxing and traveling. I was able to use these for work and relaxation with great results. The noise cancellation has been drastically improved. Things like the washer and dryer which I’ve been able to hear on other headphones with noise cancellation can no longer be heard.
The immersion sound however truly immerses you in the music. The only drawback which I’ve notified Bose on is that this MUST be turned on every time in the app as of the writing of this review, so if you feel like your music sounds a little different just double check this feature!
The overall fit is far better on these than on the QC-35’s, they feel like they aren’t going to fall off and are a better fit in my opinion.
Overall, highly recommend! With about a week of constant use I’ve needed to charge them about 3 times. Battery does last far longer with immersion and noise cancellation off in my findings. I can't wait to continue to regularly use these!

Immersion mode is a highlight

I am going to keep this as short and to the point as possible - but no guarantees.
I have had the QuietComfort Ultra headphones for just about 5 days now and I already prefer them to the previous model. Now let me be clear there is nothing particularly wrong with the previous model and I have had mine for a few years with absolutely no issue. This new model just has some additional features that I have come to love and enjoy more than what I had before.
For reference I work as a recording voice artist, so I wear headphones both for work as well as enjoyment for at least 12-18 hours a day.
The first thing that’s always important to me is battery longevity and comfort. It did not disappoint in either of those categories. I stopped the time and it took a total 29.25 hours across 2 and a half days for the battery to be below 10%.
That I loved and it is by far my favorite feature. The cushioning on the ears is superb, soft, cooling and comfortable.
A few other highlights in my eyes:
- One being the immersion feature; it was a big standout for me and I almost exclusively use immersion now to listen to music or general content
- The fact that the music automatically stops when you take the headphones off and the fact that it goes to sleep/conserves energy when you forget to turn it off manually is also a huge plus
As with anything there are some things I don’t love as much or want you to be aware of:
- if you get motion sickness quickly, the immersion feature might not be for you. It definitely takes a little getting used to when you can hear the music follow you around and as someone with mild motion sickness it definitely caught me off guard the first time I tried it.
- And I also don’t love that there is only one button for shortcuts both for starting/stopping/skipping and moving between immersion/quiet and aware modes. This is not a huge issue but I would probably prefer having two buttons instead of one combining everything.
These are my opinions, take them with a grain of salt. For me personally the pros out way the cons by a lot. I recommend trying it out for yourself, as with everything, but I do highly recommend these headphones.

Best headphones I have ever used
on October 17, 2023

I have only had the Bose Ultra Headphones for a week. But I have had the opportunity to test them in a variety of situations: At home listening to music, using them for work on MS teams meetings, phone calls, and watching movies on my tablet; Commuting to work on a train and then walking to the office building in downtown Chicago; In an open work environment taking MS teams meetings and listening to music. In every situation, they have exceeded my expectations.
I have used profiles for Quiet, Immersive, and Aware. Here is where I feel each performs its best:
- I prefer “Quiet” mode when I am on phone calls and for some types of music.
- “Immersive” works well for most music but is really awesome when watching a movie.
- The “Aware” mode worked as expected when I wanted to hear people around me or when I was walking on the street in Chicago. I was curious what I could hear on the street and it was pretty much everything like passing cars, people talking, and animals.
These are the areas I have liked and disliked so far in my time using them.
Pros:
- Best noise canceling headphones I have ever used. The train and office really sold me on how well these cancel the world around you.
- Great for listening to music and watching movies.
- Extremely comfortable even when wearing for multiple hours.
- They are mostly plastic but they look and feel premium to me.
- The case that comes with them is molded to support the headphones which is a first for Bose that I am aware of.
Cons:
- I have experienced a few software issues related to Bluetooth connections. I was able to work around these either via the Bose Music app or powering the device off and on.
- The highest price for a Bose headset yet.
While I hope a software update will resolve the few issues I noted they do not change my opinion of the headset. I would very much recommend this to my friends and family. If you are looking for a headset and can afford it, this is the one to buy. Just go get it and enjoy!
