So comfortable, amazing noise cancellation and immersion music feature! Love the deep plum color and that the case matches it. It’s very sleek and slim. Looking forward to taking this with me on vacation.

I used this on my most recent flight and they were comfortable with my neck pillow. Wish the ear cups were just a bit bigger

Sound is good, but when using them for watching TV the volume is very soft. Each time I take them off my head I have to re-pare them. I don’t know how long the battery should last but a full charge should last longer than2-3 hours.
Response from bose.comBy Customer Support, January 27, 2024
Hello,
Thanks for the feedback! Sorry to hear you've not had a great experience. What you've described isn't typical of the headphones, Dale, so I'd suggest getting in touch with us to see if there's anything that can be done via troubleshooting to resolve the problems you're having.
For example, TVs tend to offer variable volume output, so you need to set the TV volume as well as the headphone volume when paired. When you're connected, try increasing the TV volume up to see if this helps.
With regard to the battery, the headphones offer around 24 hours of playback. 2-3 hours is not normal at all. Please consider reaching out via https://bose.life/3ET4mCs for further support.

My Best Set of Headphones

Pros: There's a lot, stay with me, I'll try and be brief. • They sound amazing, even in bluetooth (320k mp3s or flac). Rock and rap sound really good. Classical is a solid B. All my favorite bands (Jeff Buckley, Swans, Radiohead) sound amazing, I even heard some NEW sounds on the old classics (Pink Floyd). Bass response is very good, no distortion. Highs are loud and clear and not tinny or ear-piercing. They are plenty loud, I found no need to turn these up past 75%, even for the bangers. • Setup is easy, and the voice prompts are helpful and not annoying. The headphones are large enough for my giant head and ears, light and my ears don't hurt after a couple of hours. • The multiple bluetooth connections is fantastic and actually works. I was listening to music from my computer when the headphones announced that a call was incoming on my cell phone (and I thought "uh-oh, how am I going to manage this mess?"), the headphones actually paused the computer music, and let me answer the call over bluetooth and apparently a built-in mic. The caller also never complained that they couldn't hear me. When I hung up, the headphones switched back to the computer and un-paused the music automatically! I love it when technology works. • The carrying case is a nice shape (thinnish) and is hard enough that I can just chuck it into my laptop bag without worrying about damage. Cons: • Sparse instructions on how to get started, and the Bose app doesn't seem to work with these yet, both of those are easily rectified. • You have to "fold down" the headset all the way to the smallest size so it fits into the carrying case, but there are no "click-stops" to help you decide how much you've opened them. Which means you have to adjust the sizing every time you take them out and use them again, you're almost trial-and-error sizing every time you put them back on from the case. • Bose only supplied a short (1 meter) cable for a wired connection. A very tiny (2.5mm?) audio jack attaches to the headphones, the other end is the more popular small size (3.5mm?). It appears that I'd need an adapter either way for a longer cable if I wanted to hook these into my stereo system and listen to vinyl, but longer cables and less adapters is always nicer, no? Overall, easily the best headphones I've ever owned. They sound so good than the little inconveniences are essentially null. For the price, I would like nicer, longer cables and a power plug for charging. I will attempt to update this review when I get more data on battery life and analog listening.

Headphones of the Future!

Bose has always been known for high quality products and sound innovation. They continue to deliver with their latest release of Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones. They offer a comfortable fit and sleek styling with a high quality compact carrying case included. The noise cancellation technology is unbelievable and makes long flights feel like sitting in your living room. The 2-button controls and touch sensitive volume slider are very intuitive and easy to get used to. The Bose Music app allows you to easily control settings and save custom modes. In addition to the noise cancelling, these also offer sound quality that will blow your mind. Especially in the immersive mode, which is like sitting in your own personal concert hall!

Definitely an upgrade from my previous QC 45’s…headphones are comfortable, sound is crystal clear and noise canceling is the best I have experienced in an over the ear headphones by far.

Terrible mic

Keep away from this product. The mic just doesn't work properly:
Android: does not work in calls. People will hear everything across your mic, but your voice.
MacOs Sonoma: same for Zoom. I thought it would work at least for my work calls, given it works in iPhone calls, but it does not.
It is like buying headphones without a mic. You can find many complains in Reddit also.

Thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Bose headphones. If the microphone on your headphones picks up your voice quietly or with added noise that makes it difficult for others to understand you during phone calls with your headphones, try the following:
-Try placing another call—preferably to another number—to determine if the issue occurs all the time or only with certain people, which could result from poor reception with the phone service or device you call. - Much like rebooting a smartphone, your headphones might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues.
