Good, not great

Impressive, but not as impressive as other Bose products that I have purchased. The sound is good, but not as emersive as the QC Ultra earbuds and the headsets seem less than top quality.

Great but with low hiss and third-party app issues

Being a previous owner of Bose noise cancelling headsets, I purchased the Bose QC Ultra. Here is my opinion on this device.
PROS:
- Lightweight
- Foldable
- Great sound reduction
- Ability to switch between transparency modes without the need for an app
- Physical power button

CONS:
- Low hiss when no music is playing. Probably wont notice with background noise when music is playing or when flying, but its always noticeable if you're looking for a 100% silent experience.
- When using apps (e.g., HelloChinese) for studying, the apps will often prompt for a dialog from the user. The Bose headset behaves as if this prompt is a call and disconnected call. Its really annoying if you don't turn off the voice commands and it says "call disconnected" each time after speaking using the headset. None of my other earbuds or headsets do this.

OVERALL:
Bose are nice compact and lightweight quality headsets. If using the headset for translation apps or online practice apps that require dialog between the user and app, it can be a little annoying. Overall, I do like the look, sound, and size of the product and would recommend it to others depending on use case.

I love the sound quality of my Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones in Lunar Blue. I love the noise cancelling feature because I like to get lost in my music and like to shut out the outside world. I like the different sound profiles with quiet being my favorite and immersive coming in second. My husband bought me my first pair of Bose headphones two years ago and now I don't want any other brand. They are my emotional support headphones and I always have them with me lol. I have a hard time with noise and repetitive sounds and things I can't control when out around other people and Bose helps keep me from being irritated because I can block out everything. Also I'm obsessed with the Lunar Blue color and love the matching case that comes with it. I usually buy earbuds but wanted to try the headphones this time. Now I want the matching earbuds😆

Bought these to replace a worn out used set. Hubby can’t stop raving about them, and how they are truly noise cancelling. He can’t hear any outside noise. He just love them.

Great Noise Cancelling but definitely a learning !

I was upgrading my Bose NC 700. The ultra does the same great noise cancellation. One difference is that the ultra has more buttons to manipulate. There is an ambient setting so you’re aware of surrounding sounds or conversations. The case is great, but unlike the NC 700, you have to fold one ear cup, sort of like a jig saw puzzle. There is no difference in the size of the NC 700 case and the Ultra case. The headset is comfortable on the head and ears. I don’t really register a great feature in the Immersion feature. I’m surprised it doesn’t use the USB-C. There’s definitely a learning curve on this set.
