Cheap Imitation of Its Former Self

This used to be the best tape ever for shipping boxes to my son. The last 2 rolls are so thin, they tear, don't cut evenly & twice as much has to be used for a decent seal. Of course, they can then sell more.......not to me! A real disappointment. The quality is actually lower than a no-name brand I've found. Will never buy again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dear Scotch,
The dispenser is such a hassle. The tape is impossible to see in order to reload the dispenser. Why doesn't Scotch care about its tape users?

LONG LASTING

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this Tape 10 years ago on Boxes of my mothers things and moved maybe 6 times from rental to rental to storages. Over the years I have never opened some of the boxes and the Tape is still Holding! I live in Florida where Tempertures are Hot and Humid and I am very Pleased with the performace of this Tape !! Any other tape is Dry and brital with no stick. I love you Scotch. I have only replaced Two boxes with the Tape just torn and opened and reopened . And I have a lot of boxes that are just the Same as when I taped them 10 years ago..

1 good roll, 1 bad roll

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought a 2 pack Mailing and Storage tape. roll 1 had normal adhesion but roll 2 had low adhesion to the point that I had to double tape over every strip of tape that I use. That roll will not stick to any clean new box. I think there was something wrong with that roll.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I grew up in the military and married into it, as well. As a result, I have moved over 20 times in my life. Each and every brings more boxes and stuff to put in them than the one before. I have tried other brands of packing tape, but none work nearly as well as Scotch. And having a tape dispenser that goes with the tape is one of the best friends you can have when packing. Trying to keep track of tape and scissors and the end the end of the roll of tape is so time consuming and frustrating. But having an all in one system has made packing so much easier and me so much happier and nicer. I could not face a move without it.

Spa Fix

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used all of Scotch Brand tapes for as long as I can remember. I have never seen any product made by Scotch that wasn't top quality and refuse to buy any other brand. I have tried others in the past and was always disappointed.
One year ago my spa kept shorting out because the location on the spa always got soaked while I did my therapy. I cut a plastic storage bag in half and sealed the edges with your regular clear package/mailing tape. I planned on replacing it with something else, but it is still firmly attached! Bravo to your quest for excellence!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I truly like this product and its many uses; however, I do have difficulty getting the tape started. If the packaging just had something to attach the tape to once you have started using it I think would be a great help. I keep it in my desk drawer and utilize it for many things including lint off my clothes when necessary - lol. Keep up the great work you do at Scotch Brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just wanted to say how much I appreciate good packing tape because I've been using quite a bit of it over the last year and a half. My oldest brother is serving in Afghanistan and between my 4 other siblings and his wife and 4 kids, we are shipping packages right and left. I'm glad to say Every one has gotten there safe and sound, no damage (even electronics), no spoliage (alright, one cookie was broken, haha) and no moisture or signs of weather of any kind. I'll never use another brand. Thank you Scotch!!
