Very Disappointed

It didn't work any better than regular masking tape. There was seepage in too many places for it to be worth the extra money. I had to go back and touch-up in numerous places.

Truly gentle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is very gentle on all surfaces. I use a lot of painter's tape for watercolor projects, so gentle tape is very important to me so that it won't tear my paper. At the same time, the tape needs to be water tight against the paper (or wall, or anywhere else). This tape held up to a ton of water for testing purposes and still came off the paper clean. I am getting ready to paint some walls in my house and I plan to buy this tape for all of the cutting in that I will need to do!

Multi-functional use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to review and was so glad to receive it. While the product works wonderfully for home remodeling / painting projects, I am also a papercrafter. I use the Delicate Surface tape to adhere watercolor paper to a hard board for painting. It holds the paper in place and removes easily without tearing the surface or leaving behind a residue. I highly recommend this product, whether you are doing a home OR craft project!

Dependable tack and removal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the standard Scotch blue painters tape for everything: labeling jars and containers, temporarily hanging items or taping things up. This Delicate Surface Painter's tape is equality dependable for my applications. I did try it on paper and it ripped the surface of the paper, but almost all tapes will do that unless you remove them carefully (and frankly, that's what Post-it notes are for).

RUINED WALLPAPER!

Used on a bedroom remodel. Was going to leave the existing wallpaper but as you can see from pictures, the tape that had been there less than 24 hours pealed off the wallpaper that was I under it. This is a costly repair as now the wall has to be refinished!! This tape does not do what it says it will, DO NOT USE IT ON WALLPAPER!!

Not helpful.

I was excited to use this tape for painting on paper, but have found that it.. A) Doesn't stick to the paper well, even when I have taped a double layer to secure it in place. The tape peels up and I am constantly having to press it back down, and even when I think it's secure I find paint has seeped underneath in several places after I finish and peel up the tape as per the instructions. B) When it does stick it will peel up the paper with it. I have tried using this tape on several surfaces (woods, papers, painted papers, decorative papers, painted wood) and on the one surface it did sort-of stick to (a watercolor paper) the paper peeled up with the tape at the place where the paint has seeped under the tape. Overall, not an effective barrier even after looking through their provided guide of 'Tape Not Sticking'. Basically I'm just using up this roll of tape and will not ever buy again. I hope Scotch sees this review and can make suggestions or revise their adhesive formula b/c while I appreciate the attempt at a Delicate Surface tape, I'd still like it to actually work.
