Absolutely the worst painter's tape I have ever used. At first the product would NOT stick to the wall or baseboard. During painting the tape bubbled up and caused my dark paint to poor onto the white baseboard. Now taking the tape off, there is DEFINITELY NO edge lock and delicate is a lie! Ripped off half my wall and now I must spend my afternoon repainting. Worst product ever! I had gone out of my way to find the "delicate" brand and it was a waste of time. You might as well take your luck with no tape before using this awful product. I am submitting pictures and demanding my money back!

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. We would expect the product to give clean paint lines and to also remove cleanly when instructions are followed. Based on the pictures you've posted, this clearly was not the case. If any of our products ever do not perform as expected we'd ask you contact us by phone which is listed on the package or by e-mail from our website www.scotchblue.com for further assistance. We have received your e-mail, please keep an eye out for our reply so we can address this for you.

Never fails to perform the same reliable way everytime

If you are an artist that uses paint of any kind this Edge-Lock Scotch blue tape is a must. It's a must for water color painting. But on glass, craft or cathedal painting is made easier when making pure lines. Ofcourse for painting wall murals it's indespensable. Save yourself hours of extra work. It's a must in every artist studio.

Does Tape 2080 come in white

Hello Scotch - I am a fine artist who works in watercolor. My painting surface is high-quality (very expensive) watercolor paper. Before I begin a painting, it is necessary for me to mask out the edges of my painting’s composition with masking or some other tape. The problem is that some tapes can remove or even tear the paper while it’s being removed. I am now using your Delicate Surface Painter’s Tape 2080 which eliminates this problem. Does this tape come in white as opposed to pale violet? Tape of any color other than white when applied to a painting’s parameter conflicts visually with watercolor paint selections I need to make throughout the painting process. Note: Artist materials is a huge industry and Delicate Surface Painter’s Tape in white would be in high demand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Whenever i have used your painters tape it's always worked exactly as it should! For example it can be very stressful when it's time to remove the tape from your freshly painted walls but with your scotch painters tape i have never been disappointed! It always comes off just as it should without removing any paint.

ScotchBlue Painter's Tape

In the last 15 years, several painters have painted the interior and exterior of our house and they ALL used the ScotchBlue Painter's tape. They liked the flexibility, the adhesive quality without residue, and the easy on and off. We were especially glad that our faux painter used it on the numerous interior walls she painted for us without running the risk of damage.

Tape does not adhere well

Used this to tape plastic to a smooth painted wood surface to protect a window from paint over-spray. We used this tape to protect the paint on the wood from damage. The surface was clean and dry and the tape was applied in 6-inch strips around the window. After an hour, the tape strips were peeling off and some were no longer adhering. Now, we have to re-tape the window (which is not an easy task from a high ladder!).

Took the paint off - will need to repaint the wall

I paid $14 for this roll of tape. I was going to paint my ceiling and I used it on the wall edges. The tape goes on easy, stays in place and comes off easy, except the paint comes with it. I will need to buy some paint to repaint the wall edges. I am very disappointed. I could have bought artist tape for this amount of money and have guaranteed results. Now I need to spend more money and time to repair the damage.

Terrible product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own a remodeling company. I bought two rolls of Edge-lock to paint a hallway and bedroom. On the hallway, I applied about 40 lineal feet of Edge-lock. At least 15 feet of it no longer adhered after about 1 hour. Plus, where it did adhere, there were numerous bleed throughs. I had to go back with wet Q-tips to clean up the bleeding. I thought this might be a fluke, so I used a new roll for the bedroom. Same problem. Terrible product.
