Cannot connect to my wifi, therefore cannot self. Jean. Just bought this a couple months ago, and now Typhur 2 is available. I would have waited. Not enough recipes available for this first and now antiquated version of original Typhur.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worth doing research first

I did a lot of research before ordering this unit. I actually ordered a single and a double set. It works very well, easy and intuitive to use. Don't need a degree from MIT to use it. I have only gone about 300 foot away and it works fine without needing an internet connection. Put it in your pocket and check the temperatures of your meat without being tethered to your cell phone.

Just as advertised and exactly what I was hoping for. Especiall liked the easy set-up, and the app. Makes grilling so much more exact.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best prime rib cook ever. Not having to open the oven to check the temp is the best! High quality probe. Great price. Will be telling my friends.
