Great device. Not as feature rich as my Meater but I bought this one for Dome 2 partnering and it works phenomenally well for that. Probably should have splurged for the higher end ones but this one does the job.

i really had high hopes. i thought the RF approach would have been the saving grace over bluetooth. but after 2 cooks, i still have connectivity problems(between probe and base) that had plagued me with a different brand(which uses only bluetooth).
the disconnects are frequent enough to frustrate. the upside is that it re-connects back rather quickly. much better than the other brand.
now here's the kicker. if i'm not doing an actual cook, ie, i just set the probe in an empty idle grill, then connectivity is solid. so it seems that heat might heavily affect the RF signal. has this been observed by others?
my workaround is to leave the base near the grill and use wifi to send info to phone. but i'd rather not use the phone. having the base display the info is awesome. i prefer to just use it by itself.

Used this Typhur thermometer to roast a prime rib bone in roast. Didn't really need the app but loved the directions in it...very step by step recipe. It turned out to be a "set it an forget it" process that delivered a perfectly medium rare and very delicious roast. Definitely recommend it.

Cannot connect to my wifi, therefore cannot self. Jean. Just bought this a couple months ago, and now Typhur 2 is available. I would have waited. Not enough recipes available for this first and now antiquated version of original Typhur.
