Great device. Not as feature rich as my Meater but I bought this one for Dome 2 partnering and it works phenomenally well for that. Probably should have splurged for the higher end ones but this one does the job.

Used this Typhur thermometer to roast a prime rib bone in roast. Didn't really need the app but loved the directions in it...very step by step recipe. It turned out to be a "set it an forget it" process that delivered a perfectly medium rare and very delicious roast. Definitely recommend it.

Cannot connect to my wifi, therefore cannot self. Jean. Just bought this a couple months ago, and now Typhur 2 is available. I would have waited. Not enough recipes available for this first and now antiquated version of original Typhur.

This is my second smart thermometer and I honestly want to cry that none are as good as my old one (company went out of business, so the devices all stopped working). The Typhur works, but with chopped chicken it’s not always accurate. Things Typhur doesn’t do that my old smart thermometer (which was also cheaper) did: app let you pick specific meals and told you when to flip, when to remove so it could continue cooking off the heat, let you chose rarity of steak and had an easier picture to follow to let you know when to remove. While Typhur allows you to pick the type of meat, the information it provides just doesn’t seem as helpful as my previous device. Overall we ordered 2 and I’ll use it, but I wouldn’t purchase another one again unless app had some upgrades.

I watched a YouTube video by BBQ smoker enthusiast who compared the Typhur to another brand meat thermometer. The thermometer works as advertised! Not only does it come with a standalone cook monitor but it connects to your WiFi network allowing you to monitor anywhere you have an internet connection. I can do other chores and keep an eye on my cook. The ambient portion of the slender probe helped me determine my new Bullseye temp display was reporting the wrong grill temp. I used the Typhur ambient temp to modify the smoker’s temp display and all is working now. Thanks for a really nice and accurate wireless probe thermometer!
