The unit leaked from where the hose connects to the "handset", even before I plugged into electrical power.

We recently moved, and my old, portable Waterpik is still in a box somewhere in our storage building. I missed my water flosser, so I grabbed a new one while shopping. Wow, this new, counter-top model is VERY powerful! I'm using it on a level 8 and don't know if I dare go any higher. Even though it is very powerful, it is kind to my gums while blasting away food particles between my teeth and under my gums. My new dentist & hygienist should be very happy when I see them in June. I know I am!
