Hi there,
We're thrilled to hear how much you love your WF-C710N buds! It’s fantastic that you find them easy to operate and appreciate the clarity of the app, allowing you to achieve the perfect custom sound, whether in a quiet library or a loud assembly line.
My right headphone tap function stopped working after a month of use. I've gotten by finding ways around activating both to output sound by doing them in sequence. If my left ear is out, the right stops sound. My right bud tap function does not work.

Hi OzZy23, Thanks for posting your feedback on the WF-C710N! We're sorry to hear about the issue you're having with your earbuds. It's frustrating when one of the tap functions stops working, and we understand how that can affect the overall experience. This is a technical issue that can often be resolved with a simple reset. Here are the steps to try, which should restore the tap functions and proper connectivity: 1) Reset the earbuds: Place both earbuds in the charging case, leave the lid open, and press and hold the reset button on the back of the case for about 20 seconds. This will restart the earbuds' internal software. 2) Initialize the earbuds: If a reset doesn't fix it, the next step is to initialize them, which returns them to factory settings. You can find detailed instructions for both of these steps on the official Help Guide: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2986/v1/en/contents/TP1001829717.html
If the issue persists after following these steps, we recommend contacting our official support team directly for further assistance, as they can help with more complex issues or potential repairs. Thanks for giving us the chance to enhance your experience! Sincerely, Jenn | Sony North America.
I bought these about two months ago to replace my AirPods 2nd gen, and honestly, I regret it every single day. The sound is decent — but only because I had to tune it myself. That’s the only reason this gets one star. Everything else is a mess.
The case takes forever to charge and is always dead. For its size, the battery capacity is shockingly small. The build feels super cheap — I’m convinced one drop will be the end of it. The lid wobbles, it’s so thin you could probably bend it with your finger. There’s also a random button on the case that doesn’t seem to do anything, and there’s zero explanation in the manual.
Integration with the Apple ecosystem? Basically none. To check the battery level, I have to take the earbuds out, put them in my ears, wait for them to connect, and then open a separate app. The box says “Made for iPhone,” but in reality, they’re treated like the cheapest no-name Bluetooth headset. No pop-up, no info when opening the case.
On top of that, they constantly conflict with my Logitech K480 Bluetooth keyboard when connected to my laptop. They disconnect and reconnect nonstop, and the annoying “bling-bling” sound drives me insane.
The touch controls are overly sensitive — lying on my side makes the earbud touch the pillow and pause playback. Accidentally brush it with my hand and suddenly “ambient mode” is on. It’s frustrating and poorly thought out.
The companion app is another disaster: clunky, confusing, and not intuitive at all.
Bottom line: I feel like I wasted my money. These will just end up collecting dust once I buy myself new AirPods. I wouldn’t even resell them because whoever buys them will be just as disappointed with Sony as I am.

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and we definitely understand how you are feeling towards the unit.
Regarding some of the issues you are having with the WFC710N, we can share a few troubleshooting steps:
1. Touch Control Sensitivity: In the Sony | Sound Connect app, you can customize the functions of the touch controls. It is possible to change the actions or even disable them on either earbud to prevent accidental triggers, such as when you are lying down. There will be more information and instructions on the following link for you to check it out: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2986/v1/en/contents/TP1001827238.html?search=touch
2. Bluetooth Conflicts: Conflicts with other Bluetooth devices, like your Logitech K480 keyboard, can sometimes be resolved by adjusting the Bluetooth settings on your laptop. Sometimes, re-prioritizing the audio device or unpairing and re-pairing both devices can help.
As well, while the pop-up battery indicator is an Apple-specific feature, the battery level for the earbuds and case should be viewable directly within the Sony | Sound Connect app at all times.
Again, thank you for your candid feedback. We hope this information comes helpful. We are committed to creating products that provide a superior experience, and your comments will help us in this effort.
Thanks for choosing Sony, have a productive day! DiegoV, Sony North America Customer Support
I bought these over a month ago and I can say they are literally the worst earbuds I’ve ever used. I’ve had trouble charging them since the beginning. Either the case won’t charge or the buds won’t charge while in the case, they’re very inconsistent. They’ve also disconnected when taking a phone call and have also connected to my phone while they were in the charging case. I guess it’s my fault for expecting tech to just work right out of the box.

Clear sound, but keeps disconnecting from my phone

These have very nice sound, but they annoyingly drop the connection to my phone multiple times within an hour. Very frustrating. When disconnecting, the app still thinks the earbuds are connected because the app does not turn off like when you take off earbuds and put in case.

Hi MRL9, thanks for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustrating connection issues you're experiencing with your WF-C710N earbuds. It's certainly not the experience we want you to have and we understand how disruptive disconnections can be. To help resolve these persistent disconnections, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
-On your phone, go to your Bluetooth settings, "forget" or "unpair" the WF-C710N, and then reconnect them. -Ensure your earbuds are running the latest firmware. You can check for updates through the Sony | Sound Connect app. -To help determine if the issue is with the earbuds or your current phone, please try connecting your WF-C710N to a different smartphone, tablet or computer if possible. - If the above steps don't work, a factory reset of your earbuds might be necessary. You can find detailed instructions on this link: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2986/v1/en/contents/TP1001829717.html

These are okay ear buds and the noice cancellation works well. My right ear bud will stop working frequently. I tap it a few times and it goes back on.
