I never worked with a serger. This is my first one. I was scared about threading it. After checking the online manual and watching some videos on YouTube, I was able to thread it correctly and it works very well now. This serger is not noisy at all. It works smoothly. I still have to learn how to use different stitches styles. But so far it is amazing me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I am the farthest thing from a seamstress. I can do basic sewing on a sewing machine and that’s about it. I don’t make clothes or anything else other than a blanket once in a blue moon. What I do a lot of is hemming things or repurpose stuff from old clothes. My biggest issue I’ve ever had were my finished edges. Actually, more appropriately called unfinished edges. No matter what I did on a normal sewing machine I could not get those seams and hemmed to stay seamed. This machine is very daunting at first. I had to run quite a few test swatches to learn it but the instructions are very easy to follow. I’m always agreed if those pedals on these powerful machines cuz if you have ever been in the car with me while I’m driving you would totally understand. This one is pretty easy to control after a few test runs to figure out your comfort zone. I’m pretty excited to try out more things now. I like to make my own quilts out of old clothing and this will help keep the swatches from pulling apart better. I only gave it four stars because 1) I hardly ever give out 5 and 2) I hardly ever give out 5…. Lol but I do recommend this ma home even to the newest of novices.

Of course no other brand but Singer would do. I was intimidated at first. I shouldn’t have been. The Singer Serger is beginner friendly. Easy to follow instructions. Quality built as with all Singer products.
