Good router

Just setup my Netgear router. Easy to setup and works great. Wish settings would let you see what type of device is connected to network without having to search each devices IP address to identify it. Otherwise it does really well with multiple devices.

Great combo modem/router

Bought this Netgear Modem/Router in 2017. Recently comcast was unable to reactive it and said it was not compatible with my service. Called Netgear customer service. They were fantastic. Answered all my questions and assured me the modem was fine.
Sure enough, comcast tech found problem outside on the pole.
Finally connected again to the internet and everything works great.
Highly recommend Netgear products and their customer service.

Seems to perform well

Easy to setup and use.
We recently cut the cable and went from Xfinity’s gigabit wireless modem to this Netgear one.
We recently cut the cable and went from Xfinity’s gigabit wireless modem to this Netgear one.
We now get 200 Mb per second and it seems to work OK however the range doesn’t seem to be as far and I noticed poor resolution during a recent football game. I should mention that we are now getting content via YouTube TV so there’s a lot of changes and I’m not sure if upgrading the Netgear product would be helpful or not.

Limited Service Life

I bought this modem router five years ago. It was certified to work with my cable internet provider, and it has been fine for cable TV and streaming most items. However, we had problems with multiple devices simultaneously and use with Zoom. Our internet plan had capability for 800 mbps download speeds, and this modem was touted to be able to handle 680 mbps. We contacted our internet provider and tested our actual download speed, which was around 140 mbps. The provider said our connection was good, so the problem was with the modem. Upon contacting NETGEAR, I was told that our model was outdated.
