This modem router just average in terms of performance. There are buffering or lost WiFi connections from time to time even with the speed of over 200mbps

Netgear cable modem

I’ve recently installed the NETGEAR AC1600 WiFi Cable Modem Router (C6250) It is a very solid product with simple configuration and robust features. This is the third net gear, cable modem I’ve used for myself and others. Each time I try another device, I end up returning to the Netgear.

Does what it should

Other than a few bumps in the road getting it set up on Xfinity (they needed to do things on their end to have it active on their side to be allowed on my side) all seems good except Toshiba smart TV takes longer to load with new cable modem/router combo. Minor inconvenience, but compared to continual drops with old router on 2.4 ghz band, needing to restart router to use older devicea, it's an acceptable tradeoff.

Overall a good router, but after a few years one day it just didn’t work and wouldn’t pick up the internet signal

When it is working it is fine; however, I lose my signal more often than I feel like I should.

New Netgear Modem

In an effort to lower our internet bill I looked into modems and found this fabulous modem/router combo that has been a space saver as well as money saving device that will pay for itself in 6 months - couldn’t be happier with the installation process and a happy to tell anyone who will listen the good purchase I made

Internet problems solved!

We now have outstanding internet speeds with our new Netgear AC1600 modem router. And best of all, no more having to reset it all the time. I wish I had gave back the rented device long ago and purchased this, but it’s all good now. It will also pay for itself in 6 months. Awesome!
