Best ink-jet printer I have ever owned. I have used this printer in my home for occasional use, and have been very pleased with it's performance for the past couple of years. I was looking forward to be using it well into the future, until the display panel stopped lighting up, rendering the unit basically useless.

Good printer except paper handling

Overall the 633 seems to be a good printer.
I have very minor quibbles with the paper tray and the output tray.
The output tray feels flimsy and resists being pushed in unless it is carefully lined up. If it is cocked slightly to the side by not being careful enough with alignment, the tray will jam and resist being pushed in. I intend to try a little silicone grease on the plastic sliding contact areas.
Similar complaint about the paper tray. Resists being push in unless carefully aligned. Also, feels like wear and abrasion happening at the sliding surfaces.
More importantly, the paper doesn't seem to have a well defined position in the tray. Paper slides forward at the end of the tray insertion push and seems to slide sideways unless carefully restrained. Perhaps the paper handling of the machine corrects for these issues, since I have not noticed askew printing.
I did have a problem with paper handling when the sliding paper stop at the front end of the tray slipped out of position for 8-1/2" paper and the printer kept reporting "Paper Out Or Paper Jammed." Took me a while to discover that the paper was too far forward in the tray to be picked up by the feed roller because I had never intentionally moved the front paper stop. Stronger detent needed. I put a piece of Ethafoam between the stop and the front end of the tray to prevent shifting of the paper stop.

Good when it works

I had wanted a wireless printer because my apartment is very small. Putting a printer and a computer in the same space is just not possible. For a while, this printer worked well. However, it is not keeping up well. It's just over two years since I purchased it, and if I print a document more than once, the first page has the bottom 1/4 cut off, consistently and no matter what I print with. Black and white text documents often have streaks as well or simply don't print, despite the connection working perfectly. Images have been printing with streaks, despite full ink cartridges. It's irksome, but for my junior and senior years of college, it did print semi-reliably. Images were beautiful at first, and I was able to print many pages at a time (say 100 or so) for source material. Sadly, the quality has stagnated.

NO dialtone for fax.

There is no way to use pre-paid long distance card to fax. Being retired and on limited income can only send faxes to toll free numbers. Otherwise a good machine!
