Epson Artisian 725

This is a great printer. It is my 5th Epson I have had over quite a few years, my latest being the Artisian 700 prior to this one. All have served me well. I just wore them out with the large number of photos I print from 4x6's to 8 1/2 x 11's. The Claria inks are rich and accurate in color and the prints are more detailed than photo lab prints such as Ritz, etc. My only complaint is that it drinks ink and the cartridges do not last nearly long as my privious printers, but print quality is excellent. A great photo printer for the price.

I had to replace my RX620, a terrific printer for 4 1/2 years. I chose this Artisan 725. It arrived fast- but I ended up being on customer for an hour and a half to get it running on my MacBookPro. The printer is fast and is of high quality But... and this is a big but- the paper tray is not good for my needs. I loved the straight path the RX620 had this one is not a straight path- I use many different papers in my art and I have to open the tray each time- also this printer will not take some papers I was able to use before. There are way fewer options for copying.

The white Artisan 725 is a beautiful machine, but I had to return it and swap for a black one! Since I am nearly blind, I cannot see the light colored symbols against a white background.
So far, the black one works well.

This printer would have gotten 5 stars from me if it was 30% to 50% smaller and was capable of connecting wirelessly to a Windows 7 computer. Print speed & quality are excellent. Touch controls are not as responsive as I'd like them to be. A suggestion - go for a capacitive touchscreen when designing the next generation.

I have just finished setting up my printer and I've already noticed two problems. First, the paper has to be placed in the paper cartridge perfectly. It seems to be very finicky in that respect. Also, I tried to print on card stock, admittedly pretty heavy card stock. That didn't work at all. The colors look okay, I like the wireless feature, but I remain skeptical.

SET UP WAS VERY EASY. WITH IN 30 MINUTES PRINTED,COPYED AND SCANNED.
THE ONLY ISSUE SO FAR IS THE PAPER TRAY IS NOT VERY STURDY WHEN TAKING IN & OUT.

The Artisan 725 printer seems to put together for much cheaper than the RX680, which I had prior. The print quality is as good as the RX680 which is why I stayed with Espon products. The other feature is the wireless function. I have a HP laptop and an Ipad II that I wanted to be able to print from both. This print does a great job with both. I would highly recommend this printer!

I cannot get rid of lines that run through the print. They are always one inch apart, regardless of size of print, suggesting they are the printer's rather than the computer's fault. I've tried realigning heads and cleaning. I bought the printer in order to fill a last minute order for Christmas cards. They all look bad. Lines running through faces, etc. No amount of juggling spacing really worked. A very costly experience!
